today, I repeated it twice and turned up the volume but I couldn’t understand what he called himself – a "Man-yes-Mam"? or something to that affect???? Maggie said something like "well, that’s a word for it". Anybody catch it?

kinda raised her eyebrows at it – and said what she said. So is Gus gone? For good? MAYBE that means they will bring back Ivan!!!!!!!!! Now that would be such a treat!

Actually, he called himself her "amanuensis" – a fancy word for secretary, it literally means someone to write down every word a persons says.

before but it must run in Vivian’s high-falutin and bomastic crowd! Always like to catch new words to improve my vocabulary – I just can’t figure out where the heck I’d ever use "amanuensis" in a sentence! ‘) LOL!

(Auh-man-yoo-en-sis) I doubt I will have occasion to show off my new found knowledge—that is, if I can remember it. It is good to know that I am not the only one who drew a blank on this word.

And I was kinda a "secretary" of sorts for 38 years…associate personnel analyst (glorified name for grunt – the state liked giving us highfalutin’ names while keeping us at worm level)…
