Okay, who’s going tonight? My guess is either The Situation (geeze, that’s such a stupid name!!!) or Bristol Palin. I’d like to see Bristol stay a little longer but, let’s face it, she’s not a very good dancer. I don’t think it’ll be much longer before Florence Henderson goes either. She’s doing a tremendous job but how can she continue to compete with the young and energetic ones? It’s going to get to the point where her fan base cannot counteract the people who appreciate the "real" dancing abilities.
I know this has been said before but I really wish they would select "stars" who were a little more evenly qualified. Yes, I know it’s all for the ratings but… They don’t do that on American Idol or So You Think You Can Dance. But then, DWTS has much higher ratings so I guess they are accomplishing their aim.
I’m anxious to see how AI will do with their new judges. I understand there is already dissention among JLo and Aerosmith about who should get top billing. Randy ought to just jump in there too and claim he should have it because of his longevitiy.
October 12, 2010 at 12:19 am #16904luckeyParticipantreally hoping that The Situation leaves this week. I’m not a fan of his personality at all. Bristol seems to be loosening up a little bit each week, but will have to make a pretty big leap very soon to keep up with the top scorers.
October 12, 2010 at 9:21 am #16907SWParticipantI think Bristol is trying but she’s not really a performer so the cameras have to be tough for her and she’s young with little dance experience. Usually the people they pick are older (not much but somewhat) and/or they are used to having to perform in front of lots of people. Yes, she was sometimes in front of the camera when her mother was running for VP but she wasn’t the center of attention. I’m also guessing that while she has had a baby, her sexual experience is not on the same scale as a lot of others.
October 12, 2010 at 3:25 pm #16909PattiParticipantbut ‘buh-bye’ Situation. Just keep my cutie-pie Kurt Warner around for a while, that’s all I ask. He’s certainly not the best, and I doubt he’ll make the finals, but he sure makes me smile just watching him.
October 12, 2010 at 3:38 pm #16910shadowParticipantof Kurt Warner because he wanted his wife to approve of the sexy dance he and Anna were performing. He is a Christian and he stood up for his convictions. Go Kurt Go!!!!!!!
I thought Kurt was the better of the men that danced. Most of them just stood around and let the women dance, dance and dance around them.
October 13, 2010 at 12:43 pm #16939caseyParticipantI just couldn’t get into the show this time around. I guess the overall cast just didn’t grab me.
October 13, 2010 at 3:26 pm #16948PattiParticipantlooks to me like Jennifer Gray has this one in the bag. The Situation is gone, as predicted by most of us, and I’m afraid unless she improves dramatically, Bristol should be next on the chopping block. She’s a beautiful girl and has improved, but she’s just too darned stiff in her upper body moves. And, as much as it grieves me to say it, that sweet, sweet quarterback, Kurt Warner, or maybe Florence, will probably be next. The rest of the contestants all show promise and great improvement each week, but I still think Jennifer had it wrapped up from day 1. She is still as beautiful a dancer today as she was when she and Patrick lit up the dance floor so many years ago. You go, Jennifer, cause ‘nobody puts baby in the corner.’
October 13, 2010 at 4:17 pm #16952luckeyParticipantthe performers. I’m watching, but don’t have a particular favorite star. What I really hope for is that Tony Davolani wins with his partner because Tony has never won before and he’s been on every season as far as I can remember. So, I’m rooting for a pro dancer instead of a star. He and Jonathon have always been my favorite pro dancers, but Jonathon isn’t competing this year. I also noticed that Edyta isn’t on this year either.
October 14, 2010 at 12:00 pm #16962BonbonParticipantI really like Tony and would love to see him win. And there’s not a star that I’m particularly rooting for either. I don’t care that much for Jennifer Gray because of the way she acted when Patrick Swazey died. According to others that were in DD, they didn’t ever get along with each other and were never friends after. She never so much as even offered condolences to his wife. That’s why when she had that "breakdown," I felt it was all for show and not sincere at all. Also, she comes across as a little "uppity" to me. That’s probably not a popular opinion but it’s based on what I’ve seen and heard in the past.
October 19, 2010 at 1:30 pm #17139caseyParticipantit’s no secret Jen and Patrick clashed as filming progressed. It was a miserable time weather-wise from what the actors say, constantly rainy, cold and ambushed by mosquitoes. So that didn’t help anyone’s frame of mind.
But I agree, there is something none too warm about Jennifer.October 19, 2010 at 3:26 pm #17143PattiParticipantBristol tonight — that’s my guess. She’s a pretty girl and has improved some, but the competition above her gets better and better, and she just cannot compete on their level. I think she’s just too shy to really ‘put it out there.’
October 19, 2010 at 4:03 pm #17145BonbonParticipantI’d really like to see her stay awhile but there’s really nobody else ready to leave. I guess just because she’s an underdog and how much this show is doing for her self-esteem. I’m sure living in mommy’s spotlight is rather difficult.
I was amazed to see Florence Henderson do as well as she has. She was really good last night. I think of myself out on the dance floor and how winded I get doing a fast number and she gets done and isn’t even breathing hard. I’m sure Corky corregraphs the numbers to be as easier on her as he can but still…she really moves around. Kudos to the ol’ girl.
October 19, 2010 at 11:56 pm #17167luckeyParticipantwill go home tonight with odds of 30-1. Bristols odds are 28-1. I’m hoping it’s Bristol because I really enjoy watching Kyle!
October 20, 2010 at 12:25 pm #17189BonbonParticipantWhen they said Bristol and Mark were save I almost dropped my glass of wine. That was totally unexpected. I guess she has more fans than we though.
And seeing Jennifer and Derek in the bottom three was also a shock. I’ll bet both of them had a laundery problem in their undies when they heard that! Hmmm, I wonder if others have the same opinion of her as I do. Yes, she’s by far the best dancer but I just don’t like her. To me, she comes off as smug and phony. Even though, voting her off would be a real travisty if you’re considering dancing talent.
October 20, 2010 at 7:07 pm #1721653tdogsParticipantyou have some lines that Victor needs to steal! "Laundry problem in their undies" hahhahahahha! ROFLMAO!
