hey you watch foodnetwork right? I recently started watching the travel channel and really started to like watching Bizzare foods and Man VS food. (I have a crush on Adam! He’s adorable! LOL) For a guy who stuffs his face for a living!
October 19, 2010 at 4:44 am #1713453tdogsParticipantI’m afraid I’m gonna see them eat puppies or something…don’t mind the squishy – icky stuff because I’m pretty bold in my palate (I’ve had Rocky Mt. oysters, sea urchins, snail, etc.), having lived in a bunch of places all over the place in my younger days but some places they eat stuff that I couldn’t stand to watch be eaten…that being said, I’m going to go to McD’s for a hammyburger… LOL! I may watch on your recommendation though!
And wouldn’t it be nice for someone to pay us to eat for a living??? With no calorie gain! Ahhhhhh, my idea of sheer bliss!
October 19, 2010 at 12:07 pm #17137BonbonParticipantI can’t even stand to watch someone eat escargot. When they were eating the cockroaches on The Colony I almost unswallowed! And I had my eyes closed. I did try escargot once and can’t say it tasted bad (in fact, it just tasted like butter and garlic), it’s just thinking what I have in my mouth.
October 19, 2010 at 12:26 pm #17138NoraParticipantIt’s really not that disgusting. it’s more interesting. I do admit that some of it is nasty, eating ants and rats and stuff like that, but it’s an interesting show. Man Vs. Food can be disgusting in the fact that he stuffs himself with food but it’s still fun to watch and Adam is cute! LOL. I also like Anthony Bourdaine No reservations.

October 20, 2010 at 12:27 am #17171NoraParticipantLOL I know I’ve wondered that too. Adam must work out alot! or he has a naturally high metabolism! Dont you think he’s so adorable though!!!
I watch just about everything on foodnetwork, some I like more than others, I love the next Iron Chef, and Private chefs of Beverely Hills. Peter Brady is going to be on there tonight with his wife. I cant think of his real name. My least fav shows are Challenge and Sandra Lee. She annoys me! LOL.
October 20, 2010 at 12:55 am #1717953tdogsParticipantI like it better than some of the more, well, let’s just say descriptive words. LOL!
October 20, 2010 at 12:43 pm #17191BonbonParticipantworshiping the porcelain god? Yeah, that one’s a little more civilized.
I have to tell you how that came about. My SIL is from Holland and when she came over here she was really struggling with English. She couldn’t come up with the work ‘vomit’ so used unswallowed instead and it stuck in our family ever since.
Another one she used was for the vacuum cleaner. That became the vroom-vroom.

October 21, 2010 at 6:03 pm #17245TopazParticipantI just discovered this show a couple of weeks ago. I read that Adam does work out and is careful about what he eats off-camera. Here’s a link to The Travel Channel: http://www.travelchannel.com/TV_Shows/Man_V_Food/About_The_Show/Meet_Adam_Richman
My only problem with the show is all those restaurants that serve huge portions… very few people could eat even half of one serving. Just seems like a waste of good food.
