I just got a call from my next door neighbor. She is at the dog rescue place. She is a single mom with a 9-yo daughter who loves dogs but Lynn never wanted the responsibility or mess that goes with being a pet owner. But…she fell in love with my Pepper (the Shih-Tzu/Lhasa-Apso) and said if she could get one like her, she wouldn’t mind having a dog. Of course Pepper is 11 years old and has mellowed out totally.
Well, she found a Shih-Tzu/Chihuahua puppy and has fallen in love. I can’t wait for her to get home with him/her. Now my dogs will have another member in the hood to bark at. Oh dear!
Give your neighbor a big hug from me! And a scratch behind the ears and a belly rub to the new poochie in their forever home!
When I got there she had just gotten home and was very lethargic. I thought, oh, no, what did Lynn get into with this pup. I brought Pepper with me (Frostie is too rambuntious for a new puppy) and when we took them outside, OMG! That teeny little thing turned into a whirling Dervish. They ran all over the yard until I though they’d collapse. She (Princess) is 9-weeks old and had to jump over the grass like a bunny rabbit. Oh why can’t they stay little and so cute like that?
