I must have missed the explanation. But I can’t figure the logic of it. If Kate is the only person to know this, why let Chad know? What’s in it for her?
ever done in her life, inspite of the turmoil it’s going to cause in the short run, it’s going to add some Ooooomph to the story of the DeMiras (after Stef finds out)! There’s a whole lot more dynamics bringing another DeMira into Salem…they’ve already shown with Chad’s temperment that he is his father’s son!
and the only reason I can come up with is that she felt sorry for him after his mother died and she saw the way he was treated by D.A. Woods. Plus, I think she saw that Stefano was so consumed with E.J., and after the shooting she might have thought that it would be in Stefano’s best interest if he knew the truth, i.e., that he had another son. Of course, the ramifications of that are going to be horrendous, especially once E.J. becomes aware that he is no longer the ONLY DiMera prodigy, at least in his father’s eyes. I’m really looking forward to this.
Victor of late…she fears the fall-out of Stefano’s rage and needs another powerful ally on her side – Kate knows which side of the bread to butter.
but do we know for certain that Kate sent it? Tuesday’s show didn’t say for sure, though Chad did say he thought he knew. Also, couldn’t it be that someone else knows? Maybe Mr. Woods sent it.

I thought she was really getting scared that he was so consumed with revenging the shooting of EJ that he would discover her role in it. I seem to remember her saying that it would be a good time for him to find out about Chad.
