I sure watch the show much quicker since I fast forward Rafe and Sami(especially Sami), have to go at it so often. It is not necessary seeing them tear each others clothes and then rolling in bed. Sami is so insecure, but also so smug, because she has Rafe to "protect" her. Once is enough, I don’t need to see it over and over again.
I still can’t believe how stupid Rafe has become just because he thinks he is in love with Sami. How can he be withholding evidence and not get caught? I can’t wait to see the two of them come tumbling down.
November 11, 2010 at 5:40 am #18034BonoSugaRayParticipantI totally agree with you! The scenes of those two today (Wednesday’s episode) were so yucky! ENOUGH ALREADY, WRITERS! And yeah, I can’t stand the way Sami tried to be all smart-mouth with EJ (and Nicole, for that matter), knowing good well she has committed a serious crime…as if she’s never going to get caught or something. Ugh And the only explanation, that I can see, for Rafe being a squashy brain when it comes to Sami is: HE’S TOTALLY WHIPPED!
November 11, 2010 at 1:40 pm #18035PattiParticipantshe were rolling around in the hay with, I’m sure the critique would be much less harsh on Sami. Now there’s a vision that would produce projectile vomiting from me. I know what you mean about fast-forwarding certain scenes, though. That’s what I do when E.J. is on the screen stomping and bullying Sami, making his accusatory yet idle threats that he would never carry out anyway, unless, of course, he’s once again using his children as "bargaining chips" just so he can get more time around Sami. He’s a jealous boot-licking ass-hat where his dear Samanther is concerned; but, what he does, has done, or is about to do just to be near Sami is a horse of a different color, especially if they’re in a bedroom scene, which is clearly wishful thinking on his part. It’s refreshing to see Sami truly in love with Rafe and him with her, and their love scenes are beautiful. It’s nice to see a couple truly love each other, and Sami would still love Rafe, even if this utterly stupid waste of a good bullet didn’t happen. Even then, she still wouldn’t ever give E.J. the one and only thing he wants, and it’s not his kids….it’s Sami’s heart. Can’t wait until Sami and Rafe marry, just to know that E.J.’s heart will be broken.
November 11, 2010 at 1:46 pm #18040caseyParticipantis this attitude that “things happen to me.” Like she is powerless to make sensible decisions, to stop and think before she acts. Even as she is admitting this to Rafe, it’s a manipulation at the same time. I’d have some big time respect for her if she decided to get some counseling.
November 11, 2010 at 2:44 pm #18045mommytutuParticipantWhen the writers don’t know what to write and the creative juices aren’t flowing, they throw in those sex scenes. It takes up screen time and there’s no dialog. I don’t think the writers have figured out that we don’t need or want to see that.
November 11, 2010 at 2:47 pm #18047justwonderingParticipantWHile I am not one for watching graphic sex scenes, that really wan’t so bad. I jusually FF Nat and Steph which is more bed scene. But I am so sick of the coffin story that I FF all the scenes with Maggie. Talk about a woose!! I thought she had a head on her shoulder–she has been reduced to pining for Vic to save her. ENOUGH slready.
November 11, 2010 at 3:52 pm #1805253tdogsParticipantthis post I agree with 100% and the rest of you 99 3/4% – so there’s not much more for me to add except True! So True!!! < This is my thumb swollen from all the friggin’ FF’ding I’m doing these DAYS!
November 11, 2010 at 4:22 pm #18054BonoSugaRayParticipantlol @ the pic of a thumb, in light of your thumb being swollen from all the fast forwarding! lol I usually just watch it when it comes on at 1 p.m. over here (central time), and when they show a scene that sicks me out (such as Sami-Rafe sexual encounters), I simply either A) turn the station, or hop on my computer and get lost in social networking, to past the time. lol
November 11, 2010 at 5:40 pm #18058NoraParticipantMe too, I watch it live at 1. I do like you if I’m bored, I switch over to Anthony Bourdaine, No reservations. on travel channel, or check my email or facebook. I told my mom that I wanted a DVR for Christmas. Nothing else I really want or need. so she’s calling Comcast! yay! And I’ll probably get it before Christmas!
November 11, 2010 at 10:45 pm #1807053tdogsParticipantabout customer service. DVR is the only way to watch Days or any t.v. for that matter. I can watch the show after it’s shown at 1:00 p.m. PST and then watch later and ff thru commericals (except for the cute guys or doggie commercials). If hubby is into sports – instant replay right then and there! DVR is great.
November 11, 2010 at 11:48 pm #18086NoraParticipantI know it is! I miss it. we havent had it since we left Iowa. I cant wait to get it.
