I took my Halloween pumpkin and roasted it, pureed it, and baked pumpkin bread and pumpkin pies. (My woman’s club has an auction every year before T.Giving and this stuff always sells well.)
Then I roasted the seeds, half salted, and half with sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. I can’t say I particularly care for the sweet ones but I had to try it at least once.
Now I’m going to make some pumpkin cookies. These better taste good after going to all that work. Personally, I’d rather just buy the cans but this gives one a certain kind of satisfaction. All together, I got about eight cans of pumpkin. I froze the rest of it.
