I was just reading Dayscafe and looks like Mel does wind up pregnant. it says that she doesnt reveal her pregnant state to everyone. UgH. I just hope and pray that she doesnt go off and sleep with Nathan right away after they find out the truth. I dont think I can stomach ANOTHER who’s the daddy SL so soon. or I will be recording Days and then watch it later on my dvr so I can FF
December 31, 2010 at 12:44 am #1953253tdogsParticipantdown the idea of another who’s the daddy…) Pass the Pepto Nora!!!
December 31, 2010 at 1:53 am #19534PattiParticipantit will automatically erase all complimentary comments I made today in earlier posts about signs of improvement in the writing. No, I think I’ll stick with hoping that Nathan, being a doctor, will be smart enough to do the math (or the test) on his own, or maybe Melanie will be so distraught with all the anguish she should have over Phillip and Chloe’s baby turning out to be her stepson instead of her brother will cause her to lose the baby she is going to be carrying. This may sound harsh, but we simply do not need another baby paying for the sins of the parents.
December 31, 2010 at 12:43 pm #19543BonbonParticipantwould take Victor’s advice and USE A CONDOM you dumb SOBs. I can’t believe all the irresponsible people on this show. What kind of message does that send to the viewers, especially teen girls, who should NOT leave the subject of protection up to the male.
I was thinking the same thing about Mel losing the baby, Patti. First of all, she’s way to young to start a family (in spite of the fact I had my first son at 19 but that was a completely different era), AND, we’ve got too many kids on the show as it is.
December 31, 2010 at 1:43 pm #19549SWParticipantwhen they were both delirious with the fever from the ‘instant plague’. So, I can’t say that he was even able to think about what he was doing. I’m also thinking that neither one is supposed to remember it happening. I could see Melanie finding out she’s pregnant, thinking it’s Philip’s and being furious with him over the Chloe paternity. But, then it comes out that Daniel is actually the father of Chloe’s child and then whammo- she learns that the baby she is carrying or has had is really Nathan’s. Lots of potential long term story then. Plus, you’d have a child with Horton connections which is severely lacking at the moment.
December 31, 2010 at 1:53 pm #19550DebbiParticipantIf Nathan is the father, it makes Maggie the great grandmother and ties Mel to Maggie even more. I do love the Maggie and Mel scenes!
December 31, 2010 at 4:25 pm #19560justwonderingParticipantMaybe a better story would be that Mel and Nathan get together but then Mel discovers that she is pregnant and knows th at it is Philip’s. Then she must decide if she stays with Nathan or go back to Philip because of the child. If she keeps quiet then Nathan will be duped. He has strong opinions about who makes a good mother (comments about Chloe) as does Melanie. This way she now has to make the very decisions that she detested.
Does Daniel know that Mel knew all about the truth? Much the same, Daniel kept the truth from Mel. So they shouldn’t judge.
December 31, 2010 at 4:40 pm #19565layseaParticipantto get with nathan and then discover she is pregnant. She knows it is Phil and they have a heart to heart and decide to tell Phil but to stay together and raise the baby. Phil can still be apart of the babies life. I just don’t want her to lose the baby. There can be a lot of good storylines here. But, honestly, I love Phil and mel together, but just don’t see it working with them. I think it will end up with Chole and Phil together.
December 31, 2010 at 4:43 pm #19566layseaParticipantanother "I don’t remember having sex with you" storyline. People were watching them the whole time they were in isolation. I just don’t see it. But, it is Days, and I’m sure it will turn out that they were alone for 2 seconds and that is when it happened.
December 31, 2010 at 6:20 pm #1957953tdogsParticipantteenage girls that watch the show and think "OH, how cool and romantic" …but they don’t realize that for most becoming a single teenage mother can doom one into a life of poverty for themselves and for their child.
The t.v. shows (Days included) makes everyone who gets pregnant as a teenager without the benifit of marriage always has a wealthy, supportive family, true love wins out in the end and everyone turns out "somewhat" great financially, medically, and psychologically OK. Not usually the case in real life. T.V. and movies really do a disservice to our young people in the mores that are portrayed there today.
December 31, 2010 at 6:39 pm #19580NoraParticipantThat happened with Belle and Shawn and how they conceived Claire remember? Werent they in a burning barn?
I think all these people are WAY out of line, they are ALL as much to blame as the next one. exp for possibly Daniel. I understand how Mel feels but I also feel that she’s one of the biggest hippocrates in this situation. and Daniel hasnt figured out that Mel knew the truth but it’s only a matter of time. Look how quick Carly came to realize that someone else knows besides Kayla, and she’ll realize it was STephanie. I think Melanie was really hurtful with the things she said to Phillip. like I said I understand her feelings right now but come on.
December 31, 2010 at 7:09 pm #19584BonbonParticipantto Melanie being put in a situation where she’s going to have to lie to others. It’s the best comeuppance I can think of, to put her in a place where these others have been and see how SHE handles it. I got a feeling that little Miss Saint Melanie will find out that the world isn’t all black and white. And then when she’s found out, it is thrown back into her self-righteous face.
December 31, 2010 at 7:20 pm #19586Blondie-1ParticipantIf Nathan and Mel did end up having sex while in quaretine, would that deadly virus have no effects on the fetus? If Mel has to be pregnant, then please give me a believable storyline.
December 31, 2010 at 9:02 pm #19590DeeLanParticipantEven if the virus has no effect you’d think the drugs she was given did or at least that cure they gave them.
January 1, 2011 at 4:18 pm #19616GoldenDaysFanParticipantMelanie has been so certain that she would take the high road and has no understanding or forgiving for others who tried to protect their marriages with lies; I for another, hope that little Miss chief of the morals police finds that she is not a lot different from the rest of the world. I am NOT saying that what Chloe and Philip did was right, just that what they did was take that step down the slippery slope like so many others in Salem and everywhere else. From his behavior on Friday, I would say Daniel isn’t finished with his love of Chloe. Philip said the same thing to Melanie about his love of her, but she has someone else to turn to. Yeah, I know, Carley is available now.
