What was Brad thinking, retaining that bizarre chick with the fangs? He says he wants a family like his brothers have – is this girl going to fit the bill? Already I can’t stand her.
January 4, 2011 at 2:47 pm #19696luckeyParticipantit did take some effort not to surf to that channel.
January 4, 2011 at 5:58 pm #19705zsuzsaParticipantthat there is at least one "Producer’s Pick" that the bachelor (or bachelorette) must include for a minimum number of elimination rounds. The most hated contestants are always chosen much longer than they should be, and I think the producers require them to stay on as long as possible for the drama (ratings). By the way, I’ve never checked out the Brady Pub before!
January 4, 2011 at 8:32 pm #19714SWParticipantI tend to agree with the "producer’s pick" idea. But sometimes I just think the guys are looking at body parts and not what we see. I can’t figure out why they’d even invite this guy back for a second time- I didn’t think much of him the first time. I only half-watched a little of the show when the women were arriving. It’s sad how so many of them acted then.
January 5, 2011 at 12:34 am #1972153tdogsParticipantshows I’ve promised myself not to watch…Jersey Shore, those kinds of genres. I’m sure they are great shows considering the "hit" they’ve all become, I just can’t do it, not enough time in the day, even with the ever-faithful DVR constantly going.
January 5, 2011 at 2:04 pm #19731PattiParticipantnice to see I wasn’t wrong about him. He’s just not my cup of tea, so I’ll probably give this season a glance now and then, but won’t be watching regularly.
January 5, 2011 at 2:29 pm #19734caseyParticipantbut this is still the most ridiculous premise. That 30 girls come into this, not knowing who the Bachelor is, and they ALL suddenly fall for him? And somehow at the end of every season, the final two contestants both just happen to fall in love and are ready to get engaged after a mere number of weeks? Yikes, so contrived!!
January 18, 2011 at 5:05 pm #20155caseyParticipantput herself out of the running. I still don’t get the reason, as she dropped the fangs gag. Ashley really bugs me and Michele is the show’s patented hated girl in the house. How Brad can find her takeover antics exciting is either ridiculous or, as was said, something the producers want in the show to boost ratings.
January 18, 2011 at 10:04 pm #2017053tdogsParticipantthe t.v. set for ratings and the biggest ones get the married at the end – the cars, hotels, hot tubs and the money the show pays for them are all perks – not the premise of "true love".
February 8, 2011 at 11:28 pm #20767caseyParticipantand this season it’s Michelle. Whenever she barges in on Brad he looks extremely P.O’d but yet he still picks her. And last night it was last – gee, ya think for the drama?
February 15, 2011 at 10:11 am #20910SWParticipantgone! Kind of funny that she didn’t talk to him after he didn’t pick her and she didn’t talk to the camera. Weirdly, she just laid down in the back of the car taking her away – weird is all I can say!
February 15, 2011 at 1:26 pm #20916BonbonParticipantI’ve noticed it especially on Survivor and Celebrity Apprentice. I guess it makes the viewers keep coming back when they can have a villian to hiss at.
February 15, 2011 at 2:35 pm #20919caseyParticipantabout her aggressive nature I couldn’t imagine she realistically felt she had a chance.
As for the Final Four I can’t see that flakey Ashley having a chance. Shawntel I don’t have a real handle on – could be a sleeper. Brad is drawn toward Emily but she is still too closed up and I haven’t seen much depth to her and from the previews doesn’t look like Brad hits it off w/her daughter.
I think I see Brad best with the other Chantel.February 22, 2011 at 2:27 pm #21142caseyParticipantabout Emily’s daughter hating Brad. I should have known the previews would make it look that way. Once Brad hit the funeral home at Shawntel’s I knew she was out. I didn’t see any chemistry between them anyway.
Of the final three, I’m convinced Ashley will go first. She’s always sabotaging the relationship by over-analyzing – and I believe she doesn’t love Brad yet.
That leaves Chantal and Emily. I think Brad may have deeper feelings for Em but I believe her daughter, as well as the ghost of Emily’s first love may still be the issue for Brad.
I predict he will choose Chantal. But there also may be some friction long after the show, as Chantal has shown herself to produce some drama.February 22, 2011 at 11:36 pm #21165SWParticipantand while he seemed to enjoy the time, I just wonder if he’s really ready for an instant child. The funeral home would have scared off any normal person, in my opinion. Also, Shawntel’s father was not happy with her leaving Chico to be with Brad. I think Chantal is more likely the final choice. She’s independent but loves the travel and wild things that I don’t see Emily doing. Plus, he seemed to really relate with Chantal’s family. As to Ashley, they say she’s a dentist and then in the next thing, she’s still in school? Don’t get it.
