Would a billionaire really be involved in killing people for organs?
January 17, 2011 at 12:02 am #2010453tdogsParticipantevery day and he’s doing far worse…so yeah, I think Stefano could and would.
January 17, 2011 at 12:29 am #20107majencoParticipantStefano loves to kidnap, torture, behead, brainwash and even switch people’s brains so why not steal a few organs too?

January 17, 2011 at 7:42 pm #2012553tdogsParticipantjust quiet yet…he may be soon however.
January 17, 2011 at 8:41 pm #20127GrockieParticipantthat kind of money is a small drop in the bucket for a billionaire…
January 17, 2011 at 8:42 pm #20128justwonderingParticipantWho says that Stefano is a billionaire? He is well off, but has money in many places. I think that he is interested in this line of work because of his own history. However, I am not sure how this works–do the "patients" pay cash? How does the doctor order the organs?
January 17, 2011 at 11:02 pm #20130zsuzsaParticipantI lived in Hungary for a year shortly after the fall of communism, and that time was such a reality check to what communism & socialism really do to a country and to individuals. Most people there despised the Soviets and Communism, so you would think that Soros wouldn’t want to promote something that was so devastating to his own country. I know that it’s not pure communism that he’s promoting, but socialism is just Communism-Lite. I really don’t appreciate that he comes here and uses his capitalism-acquired money to try and screw up our country.
January 18, 2011 at 12:35 am #2013453tdogsParticipantcountry like you), but I was in Berlin for awhile before the fall. Seeing the two sides was like looking at two different worlds at the same time, it was mind blowing and disconcerting.
If free people every where could just see for a day, what it is like – I’m sure it would turn the world around. You are so correct with the word "evil".
The commies didn’t go away at the great fall of the Russian block, they just started up here in the USA with a greater sense of purpose. I never understood how someone who liked acquiring money could bludgeon capitalism, it’s all about power and control, wealth just is the means to an end.
Even just the freedom of being able to this chat on this forum and being able to watch something as trivial as Day’s without fear of retribution or censorship from the government with free exchange of ideas (even our gritchin’ about EJ), is such a blessing, people can’t do that in some countries to this day!
January 18, 2011 at 12:46 am #2013553tdogsParticipantbased on his life style and endless money supply. I like your idea of Stefano’s using the body parts as his "life-line" for his own health, I wouldn’t put it past him at all! Especially, since they bring his diabetes up quite frequenty and considering how it is an epidemic in our country now, (I hoped that the writers would use this as a vehicle to inform people about but they just glossed over a great chance as usual). Stefano is still swilling down the good hootch just about every time he’s in his living room though, I would think that he would stop that given his medical problem. Stubborn man.
January 18, 2011 at 12:30 pm #20144BonbonParticipantFirst of all, it is illegal to sell human body parts/organs. That’s why they are called organ "donors." The only way it could be profitable is if the transplants were taking place in a shady hospital (and we know that’s not the case with University Hospital) and being done by a disreputable doctor. We might find out that Ben is disreputable, although they have not portrayed him as such yet because, even though he apparently knows where the organs are coming from, he is most interested the in patient’s well-fare, not the money.
So, in the end, I don’t know how this scheme could really benefit anybody financially that much.
January 18, 2011 at 4:46 pm #20152layseaParticipantafford to biuld a whole new Salem and build all those tunnels from old salem to new salem to transport all the dead/alive people!!lol!!! Aw, what you can do with money!!
January 18, 2011 at 9:07 pm #20160PattiParticipantwas to save his patients lives, it would still be illegal for him to accept the organs knowing they were not placed on a legal donor supply list with patients in waiting far longer than his. It’s not a matter of ‘don’t know….don’t want to know,’ he would be just as guilty for accepting them illegally as the ones taking them illegally, IMO.
January 18, 2011 at 11:39 pm #20181GrockieParticipantIt has been mentioned on the show…
