Galen said he’s loving playing the fake Rafe and it sounds like that story is going to last quite a while. I guess the actors love playing the "evil" type characters when they usually play the good guy type. I hope this thing doesn’t last too long! He also said the cast/crew said he’s better as the evil Rafe than the bland one. So Pammy? you may enjoy Rafe this time around.

John was great as a bad guy…So was Melanie, Hope, etc. The evil characters rule! All the more reason why I don’t want the writers to ever FULLY change my boy, E.J., into a softy…I don’t mind if he gets a little "nice," but nothing too drastic! lol When it comes to bad guy characters, I believe it’s much easier for the writers to write MORE storylines for ’em, as well as allow the character to venture into so many layers (if you know what I mean). When it comes to good-guy characters, there’s hardly ever much that the writers can do with ’em…They’re not as interesting.

January 31, 2011 at 2:25 pm #20510PattiParticipantI read a few things that were surprisingly interesting:
It’s not going to be a ‘who-done-it’ story with Rafe’s kidnapping. He will know right off the bat that it is E.J. and Stefano, because they will be there when or shortly after he wakes up;
Nicole is constantly suspicious that something is going on in the basement; will she go down there?
Kate, too, will suspect Stefano and E.J. are up to something and will be determined to find out what it is;
Sami will begin to suspect something about Rafe2 right away by the kiss they share, because she knows Rafe and faux Rafe is a ‘bad kisser’ to her.
In 2 weeks Rafe will come face to face with faux Rafe. I did not think that would happen, so Rafe will know exactly what is going on.
Guess what I’m saying is it’s not going to be like most of these silly kidnapping/doppelganger stories where the original character is clueless that someone is imitating him/her, but all will be out in the open to the audience throughout this whole ordeal. Trouble is, it will last for several months before everything starts to unravel, and eventually it does.
Finally, I find myself very curious about the last spoiler, because (and this is strictly my opinion/speculation) James Scott’s contract is up in May, and he has confirmed that he will determine by then whether or not he wants to continue as an actor, so will this storyline have anything to do with whether or not James stays, or will this be his exit story? Time will tell.
February 2, 2011 at 12:59 am #20558ellenkbParticipantFirst of all, how much time would it take to convert someone to look exactly like someone else (if ever that could happen!)
Has Stefano been planning this for months and months? Plus, and I know this is so obvious, Sami should be able to tell as soon as she sees him naked – I mean, come on! How he kisses is going to make her suspicious??? Remember when Roman came back as Drake H. and he had dark hair and was taller? That didn’t seem to bother Marlena! I know, it’s a soap!
February 2, 2011 at 1:08 am #20559SWParticipantI have to wonder if he’ll ever get out without being brainwashed or something as there is no way the real Rafe isn’t going to want revenge for this. Or will he use it to get the kids back for Sami? A "I’ll forget you kidnapped me, but you will give up all custody of the kids?" hmmm? Or someone(s) are going to have to go to jail!
February 2, 2011 at 2:35 pm #20572BonbonParticipantRemember Stefano had Susan made up (he didn’t even do plastic surgery on her) to look like Kristan and John didn’t know the difference? Talk about clueless.
You know, Stefano should get a Nobel Prize for adapting people to look exactly like others. I never heard of any plastic surgeons that can do that.
February 2, 2011 at 4:19 pm #20580DeeLanParticipantThere’s not just the looks but also the speach and inflections of the voice. When I’ve heard this guy talk he had the voice of Rafe but talked like a thug. To me THAT would be the first clue the first time he opened his mouth.
