Getting on my nerves once more. Who does this knowitall think she is – social services? I fully agree, leaving your kid home alone w/the oven on might merit a visit from the authorities, but it’s not up to Melanie to swoop in and take Parker away.
And a few episodes ago she claimed “I love that little boy!” Say what? What a crock, she’s barely seen the kid!
As much as I’m not a Chloe fan, do moms lose their kids when they have PPD?February 21, 2011 at 11:47 pm #2112053tdogsParticipantif the kids are taken away if the mom’s have PPD. Those four or five little kids in Texas would be alive today, (the mom that drowned all her small children in the bathtub one by one, and the mom who drove her two kids into the lake (another state?) and said they were carjacked?)…
I know I’m in the minority here, but if Phillip, doesn’t do something about Parker’s safety now that he knows about the "cookie incident", then I’d be all for Kate and Mel taking Parker away from her (even temporarily) if it means that Parker doesn’t fall to any harm. And Maggie is living right there, she should be more hands on – after all the reason she had Chloe move in with her was to help her…not much help if she’s not seeing what is going on. But then in the real life stories I mentioned above, no one (fathers, grandparents, siblings) all said they didn’t see any indication of any thing at all…scary huh?
February 22, 2011 at 12:58 am #21128powerpaw2ParticipantJust when I thought she was acting like a mature adult, she has to open her piehole to Kate.
February 22, 2011 at 3:48 am #2113253tdogsParticipantand afraid for Parker’s safety and well-being, (and/or said the same thing to Phillip) and had one of both of them deal with the situation – either of them always swear they would do anything for her, so this would have been the perfect time for her to really take care of Parker’s welfare, but no, she resorts to Kate.
That all being said, if things got any worse with Chloe, and something bad happened to Parker, I wouldn’t blame Mel to move heaven and earth to take any drastic measure to protect the baby. In my world, you have absolutely no excuse what-so-ever and get not an ounce of sympathy from me if you hurt an old person, disabled person, any child or defensless animal but that’s just my little corner of the planet, unfortunately.
And in defense of Kate, EJ just said something like, "you’d do anything to protect your grandchildren – call Lucas!" And Kate didn’t bat an eye and picked up the phone. That is Grandmama Bear taking the bull by the horns come hell or high water! I say good for her. The only thing is, that when you go to Switzerland, Italy, London, Africa, or go to see Lucas, you will not be back to Salem for years…
February 22, 2011 at 2:23 pm #21140PattiParticipantfor violating HIPPA when she revealed confidential patient information to Kate. If she was so concerned for Parker, she wouldn’t be conspiring with Kate — the woman who tried to murder Parker’s mother. No, I do not think Melanie did the right thing agreeing with Kate to take plan on when and how to take Parker away from Chloe. I hope Maggie is appointed temporary guardian until Chloe is cured, and Melanie and Kate should get exactly what’s coming to them —- and Melanie will.
February 22, 2011 at 4:09 pm #21146justwonderingParticipantMelanie is still very angry with Chloe for hurting her precious father and sleeping with Phil. I believe that is her first motive. She has not spent that much time with Parker to love him so. Has she ever offered to stay with him so Chloe can have some free time? Sh has never even bee with him. It is all about revenge.
February 22, 2011 at 5:23 pm #21147caseyParticipantYou nailed it.
February 22, 2011 at 8:59 pm #21159majencoParticipantMelanie has been annoying for quite some time now but this business with Parker is crossing a line. It’s vindictive and cruel. I hope she gets hers.
February 22, 2011 at 10:07 pm #21160PattiParticipanthow her precious daddy would feel if he knew that the minute he walked away from the desk, Melanie not only read Chloe’s chart, but immediately called Kate to let her know his diagnosis. And what would Daniel think if as a result of that, Kate planned her next step around Dan’s prescription for Chloe’s depression, causing her (Chloe) to wash the pills down the drain. God, these two have it coming. I would so much rather they kept Nathan and rid me of Melanie.
February 23, 2011 at 12:32 pm #21169BonbonParticipantI just cringed when she washed those drugs down the drain. That’s the worst possible place to put unused drugs.
Unused medicine should be mixed in coffee grounds, or anything unpleasant, to prevent animals from getting to them and put in the regular trash. Or, the best thing to do is return them to the pharmacy for proper disposal. (I believe they incinerate them.) It’s interesting to know that if I drop a pill on the floor, my dogs, who normally will scarf up practically anything before it even hits the floor, will not touch them. I don’t know how it happened but I found a blood pressure pill on the floor right next to their food completely untouched.
As to Mel…I’m finding it very difficult to not want to plant my fist in the middle of her face. Just as she was becoming somewhat tolerable, she has now gone way over the edge and has gotten into the same boat with Kate.
February 23, 2011 at 1:41 pm #21175NoraParticipantabsolutely agree about Mel. I’ve always liked her but ever since this whole Nathan crap began she’s been unbearable. i want to smack that stupid little smirk she has every time she talks to Chloe. that gets on my nerves big time!!
I must say, Kate does look fabulous in that fur coat though! and her hair is nicer these days, it looks softer. now Sami looks like she got into Kates closet with the coat she was wearing. ewww.
February 23, 2011 at 8:40 pm #2118253tdogsParticipanton the fur! And yes, I know. I just had a hamburger for lunch.
February 24, 2011 at 12:24 pm #21189BonbonParticipantI’m sure it’s faux fur. First, I don’t believe they’d spend that much money on wardrobe (especially two in two days) and second, I don’t think they’d take the chance of offending all the PETA zealots. I really liked the first one she wore but didn’t care much for the second.
Personally, as much as I love animals, I’m not opposed to wearing their hides. We’ve been doing it for millions of years. And I can’t understand how people can be so vehemently opposed to people wearing furs when they are most likely wearing leather shoes, purses, belts, wallets, etc. Pure hipocracy if you ask me. Let the stone-throwing begin.
February 24, 2011 at 2:10 pm #21193DeeLanParticipantNo stone throwing here. I love me a good leather handbag or shoes. As far as fur goes the closes I got was a leather jacket with a zip out possom lining and collar. I don’t think I’d be comfortable wearing fur only for the fact I’d be afraid of being attacked physically or by having blood thrown all over me. And I’m sure half of those people are eating beef, pork, chicken and fish.
February 24, 2011 at 3:51 pm #21194NoraParticipantit doesnt bother me any either. i dont have a fur, but i have leather coats and purses and love them! i love the smell when you first walk into a leather store! and yes i definitely eat meat too.
