Seems like they are positioning Maggie to be the voice of reason and the go-to Horton on the show. I love what they have been doing with the character and hope they don’t find a way to screw it up as they are unfortunately famous for doing.
think that’s going to happen. As long as they keep writing Maggie as the strong, outspoken female that she is, I’ll go with her as the voice of reason.
I think I read once where it was definitely the intention to make Maggie the new matriarch, and it certainly looks that way to me. She’s the all around ‘go-to’ when it comes to sharing her wisdom, guidance, and understanding to anyone who suddenly decides to take the wrong road. Looks like she’s going to have to do a complete intervention where Chloe is concerned, though.
I don’t think Doug and Julie want to work that much. Besides, Maggie has always been the voice of reason (except for that short lapse with Neil) whereas Julie has done some, shall we say, questionable deeds?
who has walked the difficult path and become a productive member of society. I like Maggie too, but don’t hold a lot of confidence in what the writers may do with her.
