I’ve been waiting for the actress who took over the role to grow on me. Well, she’s grown all right. Every time she’s onscreen, I think she should be buying groceries for her family. Or doing some other "grown up " activity. She just looks AND plays the role as WAY too old and sophisticated. In the Java Cafe scenes with the other college kids, she just seemed way too old to me. Maybe it’s wardrobe? I have wanted to post this but held off, just in case I got used to her. Now I see that there is no way I’m buying she’s under 25…no way! Am I the only one that feels this way?

The actress is 21… maybe that’s it? She’s playing a 17/18 year old character but you’re right, she does seem a lot older than the other "teens". The previous actress was much younger looking. To me, Melanie seems younger than her, yet Mel is supposed to be in her early 20s. Go figure!
