been in the Sisters of Notre Dame for over 70 years and my sister was in at the age of 14 and stayed for 14 years; however, she left before she made her final vows. Believe me, there are very attractive young women who enter the convent.
up and coming Hollywood starlet named Dolores Hart (or something like that) and she went to a retreat right after doing a film or several of them and decided she’d quit Hollywood and became a nun. She was very good looking, had a potentially huge career, but gave it all up. The last time I heard something about her, she had become the Mother Superior where she was.
I think that the poster was referring to her make-up more than her attractiveness. Most nuns don’t use excessive make upor sculpted eyebrows.Theirs is a natural beauty.
yes, I do remember when that happened. I though at the time, what a devout person she must be to give all that up to enter the convent.
