I was so hopeful when Vic went to her house, and ended up just wanting to cry at the end. Kudos to John and Suzanne for doing such a great job, but phooey on the writers who won’t let these two be happy together.
in the interactions between a mature couple as opposed to the younger set, eh? They were both very honest with each other and themselves. I thought that was very good writing.
Wonder how long that will last? I mean it’s obvious how much they both truly care for one another, but you know what they say in the song …. when an irresistible force meets an immoveable object, don’t you? It means "something or someone’s gotta give." Wonder who will be the first to either change or simply learn to look the other way.
They’re both stubborn people but Maggie is the one who seems to understand and tolerate people better than Victor.
I was thinking about the contrast with the younger crowd yesterday, too, Bonbon, and I was just thinking how much more INTERESTING these characters are than the teens. I actually don’t mind the conflicts going on between them right now. Once they are happily ever after, couples tend to get boring, and I think their problems are believable. I would not like for them to be kept apart because of some sci-fi, contrived plot, but the things they are dealing with are genuine differences between their personalities and the histories they have with other characters and relationships. Their dialog is believable, and I think the angst they are going through will make it sweeter when they do get together. I, and I’m sure everyone else, just hope they don’t drag it out TOO long, as is their tendency on Days. I also got a kick out of Victor rushing over to Maggie’s because she had "come to her senses"! They are just a pleasure to watch.
More realistic and interesting than the EJaylor storyline. I could almost watch Magic for the full hour each day.
