Can someone explain Brady and Nicole’s relationship prior to E.J. Brady said something about coming back to town and wanting to take Nicole away. Were they an item before Chloe? I didn’t keep up with the show for a number of years. Thanks.
January 6, 2010 at 9:33 am #9235GoodyParticipantNicole was married to Victor, Brady’s grandfather. They all lived together at Victor’s for a while. I remember Nicole flirting with Brady like crazy at the pool side. (At that time, Kyle Lowder played Brady.) Seem to remember something about a shooting, but someone else will have to fill in the details.

January 6, 2010 at 1:24 pm #9245PattiParticipantjust a lot of fooling around, flirting, etc., but never, ever, ever the likes of what was portrayed when Brady and Nicole returned. They are trying to make us believe that they had a past…a history…a long love affair…..well, guess what…..DIDN’T HAPPEN THAT WAY. Just another case of writers thinking they can ever outsmart us by changing history. Stupid is what it is. Brady has never been truly in love with anyone from his past except Chloe Lane. End of story!
January 6, 2010 at 3:23 pm #9248DeeLanParticipantTheir "attraction" happened when Victor was presumed dead and Chloe’s mother, Nancy told Brady that Chloe had died in a car crash. Chloe had been scarred and didn’t want Brady’s pity or him to see her like that so she made it seem like she died. Brady had stepped up in Titan and was living at the mansion with Nicole and was there to console him while trying to win him over for herself. That was when Nicole found out Chloe wasn’t dead and posed as a surgical nurse infecting Chloe with the flesh eating virus to keep her out of Brady’s life forever.
I’m just surprised that both Brady and Chloe have forgiven Nicole for what she did to them.
January 6, 2010 at 5:44 pm #9252Ms. JakeParticipantBrady found out Chloe really didn’t die..(She even sang at her memorial) and he returned to her, they went to Europe…and next we see, Chloe returns without Brady…and suspicion evolves around Chloe.
January 6, 2010 at 6:55 pm #9254cjwestParticipantBRADY (KYLE LOWDER) and NICOLE were handcuffed together at one time in the mansion and Nicole tried to take advantage of the situation. Brady and Nicole never were a big item. This is a total retcon of the plot. I wonder what the current Brady would do if he knew Nicole tried to put cocaine in his drink. They have simply made Brady the "go to guy’ for ladies in distress.
January 6, 2010 at 7:37 pm #9255lynnekarenParticipantI’m so glad this was explained because I have watched forever too, but don’t have the memory on all the back stories and I’ve been thinking and thinking but couldnt remember.
January 6, 2010 at 8:44 pm #925853tdogsParticipantBrady or Chole could, should, or would forgive Nicole for what she’s done to them. Nicole has done a lot of damaging things to people, Phillip, Victor, Sami, EJ and even little Sydney (the poor child would have a repressed memory of her as Mommy in her very formative year).
I think sometimes that the writers believe that all of us have amnesia when it comes to story lines that they write or else we all have the IQ of a peeled orange. We’ve all said time and again about the lack of contiuity in the show. Don’t the writer’s have some kind of computer story line tracking device to say ‘oh that isn’t plausible in the story line because this or that happened in this story line?’ Or is it that they just believe that they can do anything they want at anytime?
As much as I like Nicole’s character, I would really like to see some major punishment for all the stuff she’s done over the years but especially this kidnapping – and I won’t accept a postpartum defense because she lost her own child. But then too, with that line of justice, I would need to be calling for Victor’s, Vivian’s, EJ’s, Sami’s, Kate’s and Stephano’s heads on a platter because they’ve all been just as bad or worse.
January 7, 2010 at 4:32 am #9274Ms. JakeParticipantI’m not sure if Chloe knows for sure that it was Nicole that caused that infection???? I don’t remember, but if she did…..why would she EVER befriend her??? Only on Day’s!
January 7, 2010 at 5:36 pm #9285BonbonParticipantI’m pretty sure Chloe found out it was Nicole. And they becomng BFFs is probably something the writers just decided to toss in. How else could Nicole come up with a buddy after all she’s done in the past. By far not on a par to Sami but I think Nicole’s ‘sins’ were much more severe than Sami’s. She’d have to get forgiveness from whomever they decided to pair her up with.
I always liked the sisterhood between Jen, Hope, and…who was the other one, Kayla? It’s so cold here, I think my brain has frozen. I remember a scene where they were all sitting on the couch, eating ice cream out of the container and commisurating with each other.
January 8, 2010 at 1:20 am #9314PattiParticipantI really expected the judge to throw him in jail for rushing up to the defense table and grabbing Nicole. Ariana, take the hint; you can do better. Brady has turned into a weak character in my eyes. I have lost a great deal of respect for him from when he first appeared back in Salem. They better toughen him up a little bit and stop making him so pathetic.
January 8, 2010 at 2:14 am #9316kprstrsParticipantWasn’t the other one Kristen Blake?
January 8, 2010 at 1:01 pm #9322BonbonParticipantI think Brady is the only one with any compassion and sees the reasoning behind Nicole’s actions. Aren’t we taught to hate the sin but love the sinner? If I needed someone on my side, I’d certainly pick Brady for that person.
January 8, 2010 at 2:03 pm #9326PattiParticipantwhere Nicole is concerned. Perhaps I would go so far as to say a little too "masochistic" for my taste. It’s like ‘pain, be damned,’ he can’t help himself. That’s why I consider him weak. If Nicole would have given Brady the slightest indication that she was interested in him, I might be a little more sympathetic toward his wasted feelings; but, she has always been up front with him where her love for E.J. was concerned. She only wanted what Brady could do for her; not Brady himself, ever. Now that she has ‘seen the light’ she seems to be looking back on her decisions and suddenly has come to the conclusion that…..what was the line that Dorothy said at the end of the Wizard of Oz…..something like, "if I ever decide to go looking for my heart’s desire again, I won’t have to look any further than my own back yard." She had it all in Brady and she chose to use him to her advantage and then throw him out like yesterday’s newspaper, and he allowed her to do it, over and over and over again. That’s why I find him weak.
January 8, 2010 at 4:06 pm #9330GoodyParticipantBrady is the kind of friend that everyone needs; someone who stands by you even when you are at your worse. I think he is strong to continue to care about Nicole’s wellbeing when everyone else is so against her. He never seems judgemental.
