Mark Hapka will be returning as Dr. Nathan Horton. Nathan will return from Johns Hopkins a much stronger person, persistent to get Melanie away from Dario. Since we now know that Dario will be leaving, evidently it works.
I won’t miss him at all, and I can’t wait to see Nathan come back. I guess there’s no hard feelings between Mark and Corday. Hopefully now him and Melanie can become a couple.
I saw it on Facebook! Glad Dario is gone, I just never really warmed to his character and I didn’t like Melanie with him. I look forward to Nathan coming back. I always liked him with Melanie. They had some spunk and just meshed together much better than anyone else they were paired with.
Oh great. I dont want Nathan back as much as I want JAck back!!! UGH. I like Mel much better with Dario. I mean sure the kid isnt the best actor in the world, but he and Mel have alot of chemistry. much more than he and Nathan, but thats JMHO. Is this for sure?????
I think that he made tremendous progress as an actor and was starting to like the pairing with Mel. I think that it could have been an interesting sl. Not too thrilled to have nathan back.
I could see bringing Nathan back as they need another doctor when Carly leaves and it’s another Horton. I’d prefer if they brought back Mike but if it’s not one of the previous actors in the role then I don’t want him at this time.
Does anyone out there know when those are leaving and the others coming back? Taylor can’t leave soon enough for me. With sisters like that who needs enemies? especially after yesterdays show gawd it was awful listening to her talking to her "Sister"

I really could do without Nathan too. I
d rather keep Dario. He was more interesting. The only thing Nathan has going for him is that he is a Horton.
I read somewhere early on before Nathan left that it was just a hiatus – for approx. four months and then he would be returning…so no surprise there for me. Now that Stephanie and Phillip are gone, you know Dr. Horton and NP Melly are going to hook up before the first patient gets their IV in.
I’m not quite happy about any of this. It’s too much change too soon. Although I’m not sorry to see Dario and Taylor go, I’m not at all happy about the rest of them and I don’t know how they will ever wrap up all the loose ends and get me interested in new storylines. I just hope this doesn’t kill the show entirely. I know from the fickle fans we have just in this site that there’s going to be a whole lotta complaining once these changes begin. You know, you can’t make everybody happy at the same time.

You can’t please everyone, but I think most everyone can agree the SLs today are not as good as they can be. We have some good SLs and some days that I am on the edge of my seat, but nothing consistant. Also, I think the people will be leaving slowly, not all on the same day. We have had mass exit before and honestly most of the time in the end you don’t notice it as much as you thought.
Vivian, Quinn, and Chloe will probably leave somewhat together. My guess is that Vivian will help Chloe take down Quinn. He will go off to jail and Vivian will leave town because of the trama she just went through with her son. Chloe having redeemed herself will move to Chicago so she can see Parker more often and have a better chance of starting her career of singing lessons while also maybe singer herself. It won’t be hard to wrap up that SL and have the characters leave quickly.
Dario will leave when Nathan comes back. He never seemed the type to want to stick around, he is only doing it for Mel and probably to watch out for Gabi because of how Rafe is acting. But by that point the truth about Rafe will come out and so he will feel comfortable to leave after his heart is broken by Mel. Again, that can be wrapped up by September.
Carly is an easy one. She loosing her liscense and enters rehab to never be seen again. I am sure Mel and Dan will talk with her on the phone here and there about how better she is getting and how she is starting her life over away from Bo. Someday down the road I see I seeing her again or maybe being there for special events.
Taylor is the hardest one I see. Mainly because I just don’t know where they are going with EJ and Nicole. This is the one I cannot predict. I imagine when the Rafe thing goes down Taylor will see the truth. But I just don’t know where that leaves Nicole and EJ in all of this.
I honestly think the cast needed to be trimmed down a little and I think they picked the perfect people to leave. I will be sad to see some of them leave, but SL wise they picked the best ones.
They, (the show) has dropped actors and SL’s like a hot potato before…no loose ends, the stories and the characters just disappear, never to be heard from again, went out for cigarettes, went to the mailbox, walked out the door of Java Cafe, went to work, went to Italy, England, Switzerland or Africa…
And if the show could get rid of my beloved John (and Marlena), etc., and it didn’t kill the show…then these people leaving won’t do it either…especially not these characters who have been on for just a few weeks or have not had a decent SL in ages or never developed a strong character personality.
Nothing fickle here – just a twenty year die-hard and I mean die-hard fan here, however, I can’t watch it now for even five minutes…And also currently, the real "soaps" on the news are far more interesting than a fictional show…
