Just got a view of the new Nicolas. Man it doesnt make any sense if they bring him back when they are getting rid of both Carly and Vivian!!! Would he and Quinn be related? i mean what would Nicolas’s role be after Carly is gone? He couldnt be with melanie cause they are half brother and sister. he’s pretty cute though, havent seen him act enough yet to comment on that. i wonder why he’s so concerned about her now when jsut a few months ago he could not give a crap.
when I first saw nicholas on the screen, I though he looked similar to Dario.
i don’t think he is technically related to quinn, since vivian and carly are not related, except by marriage *I think* – though now that i type that, i can’t remember all the twists the story has taken– i have vague memories of lawrence’s mom having been sister or cousin to john’s mom, though that was the story years before the reveal of stephano and colleen brady being john’s parents. quinn could be related to nicholas through his own father somehow, since we don’t know who that is.
Vivian is Lawrence’s aunt and Nicholas is Lawrence’s son so that makes them a cousin once removed…I think. Viv is Nick’s great aunt and Quinn’s mother so it’s gotta be some kind of cousin. So, yes, they are related.
Nicholas is the son of Carly and Lawrence so he is related to Quinn through Vivian who’s Lawrence;s aunt.
When they did the huge reveal of John’s parentage it was Santo and Colleen who were his parents so Stefano is John’s half brother. When Colleen got sick and couldn’t visit John/Ryan in the convent he was adopted by the Alamains (Lawrence’s parents) and given the name Forest Alamain who they thought had drowned as a young child or infant. If I’m not mistaken it was hinted that Lawrence had something to do with it though I don’t see how as John appeared a lot older than Lawrence.
Are we supposed to believe that this young looking man is the same Nicholas A. who had affairs with both Billie and Kate a few years ago when he was last in Salem? He looks about Melanie’s age!
I really don’t remember the story line with him in the past but this young man is that young so I can’t picture someone his age with Kate or Billie. Was he older the other times? Yes he seems Mel’s age and the right age for a chold of Carlies age.
The last time Nicholas was in Salem and did his thing with Kate and Billie as 1999 and he was played by Victor Webster. At that time Victor was 26.

history to write our show, they think that we don’t know (or have forgotten) Salem’s history. They have past show scripts. For the past 15 years at least they should be able to look the information on the show up electronically when they write script and characters to insure no bungling and off the wall tangents of the history.
I can’t remember exact specifics but someone took him away after Lawrence tried and almost did drown him in the family pool. He was removed for his safety but the family was told he drowned. John and Lawrence weren’t that far apart in age when they showed the ‘flashback’ of the accident. Lawrence was very jealous of Forrest. I don’t remember much about their mother but their father had the arranged marriage with Carly (aka Katerina) and Lawrence. Kat wasn’t that into Lawrence back then either but she got pregnant at around 16/17 with Nicholas. Vivian was there when she gave birth to him and Vivian pretended he died and then raised him herself. The ages on the characters will never match up. If Carly had Nicholas at 17, then finished school with Jenn in Switzerland where they were in the same boarding school, then became a doctor (without taking the buy a license from your local med school), she’d have to be (17+1 year of HS+4 years undergrad+4 years of med. school+3 or more years for internship/residency+2 years for the time she was in Salem before she left with Lawrence and Nicky was a teenager) at least 31 when she had Melanie with Daniel since they claimed she was married to Lawrence and was already a doctor. So if Melanie is now 21 (she drinks so she has to be at least that), and Carly had her when she was at least 31, Carly would now be around 52 which is just about right. Nicholas should be about 35, which is closer to the real of age Victor Webster (?) who played the Nicolas who had the flings with Kate/Billie.
I don’t think the character will be on long. I think the whole purpose of the character is to get Carly out of town and then he will be gone too.
he would never be believable today as Carly’s son. Although Cody Longo is much younger, he’s a much better fit for the role. I hope he realizes at some point that Vivian was one of, if not THE, main reasons his mother is where she is today. And Mel, of all people to call about finding out where Nicholas was, you chose Vivian. Ummmmm, she hates you mom and wants her dead ….. you do realize that, do you not??? I do hope that once Carly’s rehab is successful, that we get to see Nicholas turn against Vivian for what she did tried to do to Carly, and that he is finally united with his half sister, Melanie. Then he and Carly can leave town and start to heal their relationship. I wish that CC were staying, because she is a stellar performer, and I am totally sick to death of the Dan and Jennifer show. I would so rather Daniel and Carly be end game. One thing I’m not looking forward to with the new writers is the Jack/Jen/Dan triangle. Bah!
From what I read Nicholas was to come on while Carly is in rehab then they’re going to leave Salem together.
I read the previews from yesterday or tomorrow and it he told Carly that he knew the truth about Lawrence so either he started remembering what a monster his father had become or Melanie said she was trying to get hold of him so maybe she set him straight on a few things.
