I’m really enjoying this last week or so of shows. It reminds me of the old days of soaps. Everyone is dressed up, going to fancy restaurants. Nicole looked gorgeous in that green dress. Melanie and Carly both look really good, and Bo and EJ look different, in a good way. I can’t tell what’s been done, if they’re making them tan or if they just cut their hair. Whatever it is, I like it. Have the new writers completely taken over, or is some of the writing still from the old writers? I feel like I’m going to like the changes if this is indicative of things to come.
between the characters, expressing feelings, insecurities, fears, etc. We never got much of that before. I just hope they don’t go overboard with it because a little of that goes a long way. Too much would make me lose interest in the show but, for now, it’s a refreshing change.
but I’m finding a whole bunch of things I’m liking about the show’s production as well. Seems to me that the lighting is better, and the scenes are being shot much more on a professional level than before. For instance, I loved the scenes between EJ and Kate (or EJ and Nicole) in Chez Rouge where different camera angles were used on the set, like taking the camera behind the fireplace in a couple of scenes. Also, I think that’s the first time I’ve ever seen them produce fog on the wharf/pier, which I thought made the set more authentic. It’s little things like this that show improvement all around, not just the story or the actors. I just love the direction everything and everyone is taking, and hope it continues. Looks like Marlene and Darrell (new writers) know what they want, and so far they seem to be achieving it for my tastes.
Really? I was going to post about the camera shots through the fire. I found them annoying. First with Kate and EJ, then EJ and Nicole now Vivian and TAylor, why because they are all "evil" in their own way. it just bugged me. but everything else has been great.
guess that’s just another way of looking at those shots —- Lucifer and his minions having dinner at home! LOL!
