I thought they did that pretty well. I even jumped when Nicole walked in and Gus grabbed her. They should have had someone go in front of the door so no one could come in. And I cant believe that they thought that the drawing looked like Quinn. but over all I thought it was a great scene. Sami and Jennifer were sort of out of place. i sort of hate when they do that, have something really serious going on in the show and then have something light and cheerful like Sami and Jenn. it just seems out of place. I didnt like Jenn’s last selection of Sami’s outfit. It sure didnt look very dressy. I liked those suits better. She just looked like she was going to pick up her kids from school, not going to an interview.
September 20, 2011 at 7:43 pm #26653majencoParticipantWho the heck applies for a job when they have no idea what it is? Why didn’t Jen ask what the job was when she was helping coach Sami for the interview? I know we are supposed to be surprised by this mystery job but really folks, it just doesn’t make any sense.
September 20, 2011 at 7:55 pm #26654BonbonParticipantI thought it was horrible.
And Sami applying for a job in that outfit??? Maybe I’m old fashioned but I’ve always learned you wear a suit to an interview or at least a dress. Maybe if she’s applying for a job at the car wash that would have been okay.
September 20, 2011 at 8:27 pm #26661PattiParticipantshe actually looked like she was going on an interview; the color of the second outfit, the pants suit, definitely didn’t work on Sami, and the last outfit looked way too casual for a job interview that she knew absolutely nothing about the company or the job. Also, the ponytail was too casual also, IMO. Her hair should have been down and curled around her face, or even straight like she wears it sometimes, but the ponytail would not have been my choice for something as important as her first job interview in umpteen years.
September 20, 2011 at 8:55 pm #26663annieoParticipantI thought the Gus stuff was just plain strange. How they interepreted a mother abandoning her son 25 years ago on the pier to being Gus the attacker was so far fetched. Then all the furtive secret looks and dilly-dallying. They didn’t know he would be dangerous. They made the situation worse by acting weird. They could have probably just walked up to him and said "can you come with us?" and he would probably have gone. Oh yeah, drama. I did think the hostage scene was acted fairly well. And Sami’s changing of outfits was filler. Do women in the workplace really wear that type of suit? I didn’t even think the second one fit her, but then the tight slacks and sweater were really going too far in the other direction of casual. I also thought the pony tail seemed out of place. But what do I know? I’m a printer in a Mom and Pop shop and my clothes are from Goodwill because they get stained with ink and chemicals. It’s been years since I’ve worked in an office.
September 20, 2011 at 9:16 pm #26664NoraParticipantIt wasnt even a colorful color. not very noticable. That paired with the pony tail just wrong choice all together. I was wondering what the hell Jennifer was thinking when she was like THIS IS IT! The perfect outfit. I was like HUH????? LOL. And Damn Taylor back to her gray tank’s. ugh. I wonder where they are going to send her off to. just so it’s far far far away!
September 20, 2011 at 9:19 pm #26665NoraParticipantGuess I’m alone in liking the hostage scene today. oh well. At least Gus plays the psycho well. looks like EJ is going to dive in and get Nicole away from Gus.
September 20, 2011 at 9:43 pm #26666PattiParticipantit was more like the timing of Gus jumping out yelling "STAY BACK" when there wasn’t anyone really near him. He might have seen them looking at him and in a split second realized his game was up, but after it got rolling it got much better.
September 20, 2011 at 11:27 pm #26668SWParticipantthe second suit was too beige for her and also looked too tight. The outfit Jenn declared perfect, was not perfect for a professional job, in my opinion. Maybe if she put a jacket on with it, it might be able to work. Plus, I understand Sami wanting a job with rapid advancement but a job that entails travel??? Did she forget she has 3 young kids or are they planning on turning them into teens when she gets this job??? As to the hair, I can’t say that the pony tail was too far out as I have seem some professionals with that style. The suits or a nice (not low cut) dress are always worn along with high heels though! This job should be interesting!
September 21, 2011 at 1:58 am #26672luckeyParticipantthis out-of-the-blue info that tells them about an abandoned baby and the name and they immediately connect Gus to the attacks! I couldn’t stop laughing at the ludicrous connection! I’m going to re-run it tonight to see if it looks that ridiculous the second time around.
September 21, 2011 at 1:26 pm #26674lynnekarenParticipantthe scene was intense. I can’t wait for today.
However, how they suddenly turned it around in a matter of minutes seemed like a quick wrap up and unrealistic. But what are you gonna do…
September 21, 2011 at 4:01 pm #26676mommytutuParticipantI couldn’t figure out how they even got that info, much less how they were able to tie it to this case. I thought I missed a scene, but obviously not. I wish they’d have better segues from one thought to another because I was completely confused.
September 21, 2011 at 4:03 pm #26677mommytutuParticipantThe "perfect" outfit, did not look professional enough for an interview. Looked like she was going out for coffee with a friend. Sorry, but she didn’t know enough about the company to hop off in a sweater and slacks. Bad decision wardrobe dept.
September 21, 2011 at 5:12 pm #26682justwonderingParticipantpersonally, I felt that Monday’s show with the gang trying on shows was filler as well as Sami getting ready for the interview. I also thought that he outfit was all wrong for the interview, far too casual. The first suit seem a better choice. As far as the hostage scene–this is the set up for EJ to be Nicole’s hero. Here we go again.
If this is the new writers story, I not feeling it.
September 21, 2011 at 8:54 pm #26685PattiParticipantshe researched "crimes that occurred on the pier." That’s when she found out that a child had been abandoned there 25 years ago. A long time for it to still be listed, but still, that’s how they obtained the information and the name of the child abandoned, and then realized it was Gus.
