I love this tradition! It always makes me cry and remember all the characters that aren’t on anymore. It is a special part of the show that I look forward to every Christmas!

I think we can enjoy looking at it longer. Used to be up for a day (on TV) and then gone after Christmas.

The Christmas season is for several weeks in my life shopping and decorating and so I was glad they were doing their tree in a more timely fashion to real life.  jmho  but no matter when they do it I love it.

there have been ‘network interruptions’ that delayed the Christmas episode so that it happened after instead of right before?  I hope we get to see some good holiday/family shows for the holiday too.

it felt weird to have the ornament hanging so early, but then it was over a week later than I usually set up my tree at home, so i decided not to let it bother me. it always brings tears to my eyes.

with the shawn d ornament, and multiple characters mentioning shawn d and belle (and clare), i find myself wondering if they will be making an appearance. i would enjoy it, even if it was just a day or two- it is so much more realistic than people leaving town and never being mentioned again.

they did with Susan Banks yesterday and only shown the backs of them – heck, he didn’t even come home when his brother Zack was killed.

Most people don’t wait until Christmas Eve to trim their tree (at least I don’t know anyone who does!) so I think doing the ornaments the 1st of December was much better.  They can still have a special Christmas episode on Friday the 23rd, showing all the families together celebrating.

it was very popular to trim your tree on Christmas Eve.  Our family never did it, in fact, we always opened our presents on Christmas Eve and then when we got up on Christmas morning, we had all that neat stuff to play with.

Actually, I never got much in the way of toys but I still played with what I did get, nevertheless.  I remember one year I got this scarf with horses heads on it and it was one my favorite gifts ever.  Well, that and the roller skates.  We got probably four or five small gifts.  The roller skates were pretty extravagant for our family.

My dad told me when he was young and questioning the existence of Santa Clause his parents took him out on Christmas Eve.  When they got home there was a decorated tree with presents underneath.  They told him Santa delivered it and it was years before he realized it was a neighbor.

Shawn was living in Salem with Zack died.  It was before he found out that Claire was his and Claire needed a liver and got Zacks.  They were surprised it was a perfect match.

their tree on Christmas Eve after all the children went to bed. (My grandfather and all the kids had gone out and cut the tree earlier in the day.) The kids understood that Santa decorated the tree along with bringing presents on Chistmas Eve. My father told me that seeing the decorated tree on Christmas morning was almost as much fun as seeing the presents Santa brought.
