I was wondering what was the purpose of showing Anna leaving the door open and falling off the stool and getting knocked out, leaving Sydney exposed to the cold weather. Well, are we going to see the results of that now? Sydney has a temp of 99.9° (which isn’t very high for a small child) and very cranky. Is this the beginning of some terrible illness she’s going to come down with?
BTW, how cute was that after she was so fussy with Anny and then cuddly with EJ? It was almost like James Scott was really her daddy and he was consoling her. I can’t get over what a sweetheart that little girl (those little girls) is/are. I’m just so taken with them.
Also, I was very surprised to hear EJ sound like he’s never going to give Sydney back to Sami. What in the world could he do with her to keep her away forever?

Also, it could possibly lead to some surprising tests results. As to EJ never giving Sydney back to Sami, I think he is enjoying every minute of Sami’s suffering and certainly has no plan to end it any time soon.

No, he’ll just pay off or blackmail some poor unsuspecting doc to come to him and Sydney, lock Anna in a closet or in the basement so she will not be seen, have Sydney treated and then threaten the poor doctor in such a way that he may just have to pack his little black bag and move to a free clinic in a remote jungle village or make do with a new membership in Doctors With Borders, or, most likely, take the route of Dr. Baker and never be seen or heard from again. As for Anna, for all the praise and glory I had for her in her Tony days, she has certainly fallen off her pedestal with me. To leave a child Sydney’s age, alone, inside a playpen, munching on Cheerios, no less, with nothing more than the hope that in case of an emergency, the outside henchman would hear her on the baby monitor is pure neglect, or possibly child abuse. Anything could have happened; the guard may have gone to pee for all we know, while the baby choked to death. Stupid, stupid writing. As for E.J. never having any intention of allowing Sami to ever see Sydney again, that is exactly what he’s up to. I hope when all of this is over, if nothing else comes out of this long overdue, never-ending story, I hope I get to see Rafe kick the living *hit out of E.J.

January 21, 2010 at 11:02 pm #9878caseyParticipantDoc Baker may surface again? I keep going back to that last scene where he was shown just slightly moving his finger when he was supposed to be dead.

January 22, 2010 at 12:46 pm #9890luckeyParticipantwhen he said something about Sami is the one to be suffering…not Sydney. It looks tome like this whole scenario was for nothing more than to make Sami suffer for having kept EJ from his child. He sounded and looked very diabolical when he was talking about how Sami is turning from Rafe and putting her trust in EJ. He could have been one of those old-time movie villains who has a mustache and curls the ends while he’s giving the audience his vengeful look. I am hoping that this story line comes to an end soon; but in the mean time, it does have me intrigued. I haven’t been reading any of the day-ahead posts recently, so I guess that adds to my enjoyment. But, it really is time to get this story to its end.
January 22, 2010 at 3:34 pm #9899IzzyBParticipantIt is a good SL, but it is starting to drag on a little. I am thinking the climax will be in Feb to match up with sweaps period. Which unfortunatly gives us a couple more weeks…sigh. I am hoping they are not on every day so that the SL doesn’t drag just to pass time. Then they take a good SL and turn into a bad SL that no one cares about when it does end.
