From Tuesday…
1. Deidre Hall has gotten prettier with age.
2. Gosh, Ali was young in that flashback.
3. Gee, I sure feel old after watching that flashback.
From today….
1. Enjoyed Will and Sonny’s conversation. Not over the top at all.
2. When Bo started to break down, it totally got me misty. And I enjoyed the honesty of their conversation. Nice job!
3. Wish we could have seen a picture of the cat.
4. I’m not digging the Austin/Abigail deal at all.
January 5, 2012 at 12:55 am #3018153tdogsParticipantso one day behind). Agree with all you said about Tuesday’s show. What cat? Bo is a great character to watch – I don’t recall one time I’ve not cared for his SL’s (even the Princess Gina or Billie time) – he is a just a great character. Yes, the Austin/Abby thing is so crappiola – will not be watching when/if they fall into each other’s arms. FF’ding time there. Poor Carrie. And if Carrie and Rafe get together, I can’t wait to see Sami come unglued at the seems – pot calling the kettle black and all. Also, very werid seeing Abe and EJ sharing a nice moment together on Tuesday’s show, (although, it could end up far from a "nice" moment – as they are such rivals).
January 5, 2012 at 4:13 am #30184caseyParticipantSami is heading for a major fall, from many sides. I wonder if Days would have her suffer a nervous breakdown.
January 5, 2012 at 11:41 am #30185BonbonParticipantshe hasn’t already had one. Any normal person who has experienced a small franction of the repeated trauma she has is certainly very deserving of falling in that hole and would not surprise me one bit. In fact, maybe that’d be a good storyline to keep in mind.
I think the cat caper was just inserted for a little levity…very little. And then, they didn’t even find the darn thing themselves. Kinda dumb but entertaining anyway. If they let Rafe and Carrie have "a thing"…ANY kind of "thing," I’m going to be so terribly disappointed. That would be such a dispicable and out-of-character thing (for both of them) to do. It just makes no sense at all. I find it very difficult to believe that a man who loves his wife as much as Rafe does could even have an inkling of an attraction to another woman, especially his SIL. Never happen.
Bo and Hope’s therapy was a little unrealistic to me. They volutarily expressed feelings that would normally have had to be brought out by the therapist. A little too pat IMO. And did Marlena really have to use that clichéd line, "And how does that make you feel?" <groan> But well played by all three actors.
I could have done without the entire "political" scene. Didn’t do a thing for me.
And I was so hoping that Sonny would call Will out on his feelings. I guess he knows what he’s doing but I’m pretty will convinced that Sonny now knows what his problem is.
January 5, 2012 at 4:28 pm #30188dvalParticipantif there is one thing that men universally share it is their not understanding how the female brain works, LOL. We get exactly where they do just in a different way and usually sooner!
January 5, 2012 at 10:46 pm #30194PattiParticipantwith the exception of Jennifer’s back and forth feelings with Daniel and Jack. Pick or walk away from both of them, before they both walk away from you, Jen. This is one triangle I hate, mostly because I like both of these guys, but neither one of them deserve this yo-yo she seems to have them on. JMO!
I like Chad with Melanie much more-so than Abbey, who seems to be confusing love with what she evidently perceives as Jack’s rejection. Certainly, they could make Austin a little bit smarter and pick up on Abbey’s crush. To me, she’s the one heading for the big fall, because Austin has finally shown nothing but love and support for Carrie, and I agree that I would hate to see them (writers) attempt to break up Carrie and Austin or Sami and Rafe for Carrie and Rafe.
I love the possibilities between John and Brady going into business together. They both seem to be so happy with their reconciliation.
Love Marlena in psych mode, but thought Bo and Hope were waaaayyy too late to be seeking therapy at this point. They have reconciled and admitted how much they still love each other. They simply need to communicate more with each other over what’s bothering them instead of holding it inside, and this goes for Will, too. His conversation with Sonny was far better for him, IMO, than any therapy Marlena provided. He should have stopped Sami in her tracks and boldly stated that the reason for his distance with her was because of what he saw between her and E.J. Maybe it will happen, but holding things in doesn’t help anyone solve their problems, and Lord knows Will has more than one.
January 5, 2012 at 10:47 pm #30196caseyParticipantbetween Dan and Jenn. This SL is so stalled right now. I see Jenn more attracted to Dan (at the moment) than Jack, but it’s pretty lame. I thought we’d see a progression of Jack’s PTS syndrome. Why is it we only get one Marlena session, as with Bope, and that’s it?
That’s why I’m liking Marlena and Will – more depth to it and very interesting.January 6, 2012 at 3:19 am #30199DeeLanParticipantI think Bo and Hope have realized they don’t handle problems the same way and that’s why every problem that comes along whether large or small they separate. They need to learn how to communicate better and seeking professional help is the beginning to hopefully learn.
