Talk about unreality! Those scenes between Rafe and Carrie were absurdly over the top. This is supposed to be a working collaboration. How unbelievably unprofessional (heat not withstanding) for Rafe to be in the presence of his co-working female in an undershirt, and for Carrie to be similarly (un)dressed. And the constant shots of her cooling herself with the ice were pointblank erotic-driven.
And then there’s Abby and Austin. The young coed and the the teach becoming too familiar once again in a professional setting. Austin should definitely know better and draw a line. But then he’s too naive, or more likely seems to be lapping up the flattery to realize what’s happening.
But that Carrie and Austin was just ridiculous and it went on too long.

You mean Carrie and Rafe…..not carrie and Austin, I posted the exact same thing on the annex board, and I had the same problem when I was typing it, I wanted to type carrie and Austin automatically. It was just not a great show today.

Carrie and Rafe. I’m really having a problem about couples automatically being romantically drawn simply because they work together. It’s way overdone on this show, has become predictable and makes a mockery of those you think of as standup people.

That was so terrible absurd.  If it was THAT hot, they could have gone someplace else to work, there was nothing tying them to that office.

Actually I found the whole show yesterday to be just as tedious.  It was difficult to watch.

The only thing that was midly interesting was to realize that Sonny knows Will is gay.  And the scenes with his parents and Mateo were very good.

As far as the heat goes in that office – It’s an office, I’ve been in a classroom many times during the early spring/summer/fall and I can guarantee you wouldn’t strip down like that nor would you let the students!  You open the window, if there is one.  If not, you put your big girl/guy pants on and DEAL with it!  The other thing I find ridiculous is that Salem is supposed to be in the midwest up north and during winter I can almost guarantee you would be freezing cold, not over heating!  If the office was that hot, you’d be calling maintenance for help or the fire department as something is really wrong!  For two supposedly smart people, they should know that.

Austin and Abigail: He just doesn’t seem to even realize she’s got the hots for him.  I suspect he sees her as the little baby whose life he saved way back when, not as a potential lover.

Will storyline: I know there are some that hate the idea but I felt like it was done very well. Will’s reaction to Sonny’s friend really showed his questioning of his feelings and then his talk with Justin showed it was okay.

the Will is gay SL, but so far it’s been handled sensitively and I find it interesting, mainly because of Chandler’s topnotch performance, and Sonny is darn good too.

I agree about the office. How many times have they met and done work at the town square? She had no appointments, so why not go to the square, or prop open the door to let some air in. Just dumb. Don’t like this SL cause it now make Rafe looklike every other man!!!

Austin has no clue. He seems very naive to Abigail’s infatuation.

I kinda of like Sonny’s other friend better than Matteo. Just thought he seemed more attractive to Will.

Will’s converstion with Justin was very telling, and Justin said all the right things, although I feel his attitude comes after much soul searching. I doubt many people would react that positively when first learning his child is gay.  A neighbor of mine spoke very tenitively about his daughter’s orientation until I voiced positive comments. Then he opened up and explained more of her life, her paartner and her plans on being in a committed relationship.  Most people fear what others might think and how they will react to such news. My feeling is if they are your firends, they will be there for you. Will is thinking of initial reaction to his news expecting the worse. I would think that most family would react badly, at least at first. It takes time to reach acceptance.

I think I uttered, "Oh, brother" aloud while I was watching. The scenes were bad enough, but the music made it so much worse. Then, they continued the cheesy music throughout a montage of scenes at end of the show. I like music when it fits, but this show’s music wasn’t appropriate at all!
