I don’t watch this but I just read that Nicole and the host (don’t remember his name) are leaving the show. It also said that Paula won’t be back either. Sounds like Simon’s "baby" is in deep doo-doo. Anybody here watch it? What are your thoughts on this development?
I don’t know about anybody else but I think the TV season, for being in the prime part of the year right now, really STINKS! I have been forced to watching cable channel reality shows. And much of the time I can’t even stomach them.
It seems like with the primetime shows we get a couple of new episodes then reruns for a couple of weeks, then they’ll throw us some new ones and then back to the reruns.
January 31, 2012 at 10:05 pm #30685PattiParticipantSimon was/is doing his best to try and convince the general audience that the show was sooooo successful, and that the judges were all coming back. Nicole was a horrible judge, crying over that little 14-yr. old girl who was kicked off, and she really went overboard with it, as she did in most of her comments with the contestants. As for the host, never heard of him before and suspect I never will again. The bickering between Simon Cowell and the other judge (so popular can’t even remember his name) was agonizingly painful to watch week to week, and Paula needs to get off these reality shows altogether, as all of her comments are the same. The show never was my cup of tea; just watched it try and compete with A.I., knowing that if it did get canned, Simon would be out a cool 5 Mil. The show was over-produced if you ask me; all the lights, the lasers, the audience interruption during the performances … all distractions I could have done without. If it does come back, I doubt I’ll watch it unless there is absolutely NOTHING else on in that time-slot.

I think viewers might be getting tired of these auditions; we’ll see if the show picks up once the final lineup is set.February 4, 2012 at 4:45 pm #30798caseyParticipantX-Factor is trying to lure Beyonce for a cool 100 mil? Gee, I’ll volunteer for just a mere fraction of that!
February 4, 2012 at 6:50 pm #30806BonbonParticipantthat she DID sign with them. Not a bad pay check.
I think Simon is a smart enough business man to know what he has to do and if it’s spend $100M to make the show successful, then that’s what he needs to do.
February 4, 2012 at 7:51 pm #30809PattiParticipantand I’m sure people will pay (as in tune-in) a lot more to see Beyonce than Nicole "What’s-her-name."
