Update on Steve Blackwood (Bart)

Steve Blackwood (Bart) is a native of Detroit, Michigan and was born in 1956.  He returned to the Detroit area in 2009 after a 30-year stint in New York and Los Angeles.  He has appeared in Detroit theater productions since returning to the area.  He recently was set to star in a production of David Mamet’s "Race", but left the show the day before opening night, January 28, 2012.  Blackwood had artistic differences with the director.  Staying with the play, he said, "would have been a major compromise to my artistic integrity."
