If this show doesn’t go down the tubes this year, I will be shocked and surprised.  This season has to be the WORST cast.  Half of these people can’t even be defined as a "celebrity" simply because I’ve never heard of them before; the other half I guess could be called "celebrities" (Clay Aiken, Arsenio Hall, Debbie Boon, Patricia Velasquez (my favorite), to name a few, are simply not worth watching to me.  And, ‘The Donald’ is as offensive a man as ever.  The only celebrity I even cared about or would have rooted for was fired first …. poor Cheryl Tiegs, even at 64 and still lovely, would never have been able to hang in there with this bunch of women.  It looked like mafia princess Victoria Gotti’s vicious stares alone had her shakin’ in her boots right off the bat, and she really was slow making those stupid sandwiches (same challenges this year?)  This show has lost it’s glow for me.

Debbie Gibson. ITA, this bunch looks sooo weak and uninteresting. I think they would have been wiser to go back to the non-celeb version. And Victoria Gotti is way too old to be sporting those goldilocks!

even if she wasn’t a mafia daughter.  She is one unattractive woman and that horrible hair doesn’t help any either.  And this isn’t just a recent opinion.  Every time I see her in an interview just reinforces my opinion of her.  I always get the feeling that she is one very unhappy woman.  (Gosh, I hope nobody in the mafia sees this!)

I don’t know, I like this show and don’t think the "celebrities" are much different (class-wise) than in the past.  I enjoy it much more than the non-celebs because you get a glimps into what these people are really like.  For instance, Dionne Warwick last season.  She turned out to be such a bitch and I had always liked her.  And Star Jones I just wanted to toss out the nearest window.  Oh, well, different strokes…

Next Sunday I’ve got too many things to record at that time.  (I HAVE to watch the Oscars!  And can’t miss Desperate Housewives.)  Does anybody know if they show CA again.  I know they used to on another channel but I don’t know what it was or when.  TIA

You wouldn’t want to end up “swimming with the fishes!”

No need to worry, Bonbon!  Desperate Housewives is not on Sunday because the Oscars are on ABC so that’s one less thing for you to have to record.  I am loving DH right now.  It’s getting really good especially with Orson being back.  What is he up to?

I don’t see this group as any different than the others.  They are all mainly D List people but there were only two women I didn’t know but all them men, I believe, are well-known.

As for the sandwich making episode, I’m sure we’ll see lots of concepts being repeated.  I mean, just how many tasks can they come up with.  I enjoyed it and was SOOOOO glad they fired Victoria Gotti.  That woman gives me the creeps.

I was surprised I found myself rooting for the men this time.  They have a very cohesive group and are working well together.  I’ve never liked Penn much but he really impressed me with his boardroom conversation.  Very tactful and humble and well done.  (Lisa could have learned a lot from him.)  But I’m sure we’ll see this change.  This time it appears the women will be the disfunctional team (much like on Survivor).  Come on, girls, get it together!

Lisa is a bully, and these gals need to stand up to her.  I think the motorcycle guy from week one has a really good head on his shoulders, but let’s face it, the only reason the men won last week is because ONE (that’s right, just ONE) of his friends alone paid $305,000 for a sandwich, or else they would have only made a little over $120,000, and the gals would have won.  Hate that boring comedian who was also on Dancing with the Stars (wasn’t he), and Penn did a good job of drawing people in.  Clay Aiken may look like Howdy Doody, but he’s got a good head on his shoulders, and the gay Asian from Star Trek ….. well, that’s about all I know.  Glad Victoria Gotti went home, too, but I would have thought she would have at least stood up for herself more than she did against that big mouth Lisa, who impresses me as someone who will change her opinion on a dime if The Donald disagrees with her in any way.  I mean, where did those crocodile tears come from anyway?  I like Patricia Velasquez a lot, and Miss Who???? is very pretty, but none of these women are going to stand a chance against that Viper Lisa Whoever if they don’t give it back to her once in a while.  Anyway, I’ll watch, even though I’m not impressed with this year’s "celebrities."

being a bully.  She is much like Star Jones was last season only not as refined.  Also agree about Adam.  I NEVER found him funny even when he had The Man Show with Jimmy Kimmel.  I thought they were only one step above Jackass

But, that’s what I like about this show, seeing what people are really like as opposed to the personnae they portray on TV.  I always thought Paul, Sr. was a big, dumb, oafish, A-Hole but he didn’t appear like that at all last week.  Of course you never know how much of this is acting and how much is real life either.

this guy is no dummy and he’s got a quick wit too. Will be interested to see how he does as PM.
Victoria can try and defend herself all she wants but she clearly did not want to work. I had to laugh at sword fighting with a purse hanging around her!
I thought the Hulk took it too far with Penn about how he can handle any task. We’ll see.
PS, Patti – how many here remember Howdy Doody!!

I’m thinking from things I’ve read here in the past, there are probably a lot of us who remember that show.  :o)

When I was 12 I baby sat a couple of kids after school until their mom got home from work and that show was a life saver.  It was one hour I could keep the kids in front of the TV and quiet.

And I don’t know if this was just a local show (Chicago area) but after that Garfield Goose came on.  That was the greatest show.  Also, Kukla, Fran and Ollie (always wondered why Fran, being the human,  didn’t get top billing.)

I remember thinking everyday, "oh, if only I could be there in Buffalo Bob’s Peanut Gallery and hearing him say…’Hey kids — what time is it?’ and every kid in the peanut gallery yelling out ‘IT’S HOWDY DOODY TIME’."  Gosh, I just got up and screamed my head off in my living room.  Then, I’d wait for Paul’s Puppets to come on afterward, sort of a daytime soap done with puppets.  LOL!
