Have they broken up all of the couples on the show? Who’s left? All I can think of is Victor and Maggie, but they have the Daniel/stolen egg thing hanging over their heads, so it’s only a matter of time, I suppose. Everyone else has someone trying to get between them or they’ve broken up themselves.
March 3, 2012 at 2:15 pm #31543luckeyParticipantof the writers. They don’t have any imaginative juices flowing among them and they aren’t even trying to keep the show interesting. It’s just easier to repeat past dialogue…again, just too lazy. I’m still watching, but ff’ing through most of the show.
March 3, 2012 at 3:02 pm #31545mommytutuParticipantBut I think you’re right. Even Kate and Stefano have some issues looming with Ian back in town. It is laziness, not being able to come up with anything more than multiple triangles. I’m really not interested in a show of broken marriages. The only story I’m interested in is Will’s story. He’s an incredibly talented young actor and at least his storyline is one that has somewhere to go.
March 3, 2012 at 3:19 pm #31546PattiParticipantI said practically the same thing on another thread yesterday. With the exception of Doug and Julie, there is absolutely NOT one happy couple on this show right now, whether they are single, married, young or old — no one who should be together is together, or else they are together but tempting fate with someone else (Carrie/Austin/Rafe), (Kate/Stefano/Ian), (Jennifer/Daniel/Jack). You’re right when you say the only happy couple on the show is Magic (and possibly Justin and Adrienne, but, hell, we never see them). Although, where Magic is concerned, give it a little more time and I’m sure these horrid writers will find a way to break them up as well, like if or when Maggie finally finds out the truth about egg-baby. I mean I can certainly see creating problems for one or two couples during any given storyline, but we’re talking EVERY couple on the show, and that’s just b/s! Bah, I think I hate these new writers.
March 3, 2012 at 3:58 pm #31549lynnekarenParticipantinstead we are back to every single couple pretty much broken up and paired with the wrong people and stories from 1985.
WTF writers?!?! We had one good month and that was it. I’m SO frustrated.
March 3, 2012 at 4:11 pm #31554DeeLanParticipantNot only does Will’s storyline have somewhere to go but it’s one that’s fresh and new not one we’ve seen reoeated over 10 times in the last couple of years.
March 3, 2012 at 7:46 pm #31558jessad7Participant…took over, everything seemed great for a while. Then they fired/hired someone, can’t remember who. A producer, maybe? And everything started to go a bit stale, I thought. Not sure if that was from the initial "refreshing" of the new writers or the hiring/firing of a higher up.
March 3, 2012 at 7:53 pm #31559jessad7ParticipantHow many people can we get into a love "triangle"? Maybe they can do all the characters on the show? Abby/Austin/Carrie/Rafe/Sami/EJ/Nicole. We already had the Abby/Chad/Melanie, then there’s Gabby in the mix. Throw Daniel w/ Nicole and that adds Jennifer and Jack. Try to pair up Jack and Lexie and Abe and Marlena and they’re almost there!
March 6, 2012 at 3:15 am #31576UhSirParticipantI’m forcing myself to watch the show every day. I just. Don’t. Care! Okay, I understand that happy relationships are "boring" and troubled ones keep the viewers watching and hoping. I need to see more happy mixed in with all the sad.
Oh, there is one other happy couple: Chad and Melanie. They were on, if memory serves well, twice in February.
March 6, 2012 at 3:48 am #31577UhSirParticipantI’m going to be so grrrrrrRRRRR! I started watching Days again because of Maggie and Victor. I watched way back when and eventually drifted away shortly after Victor arrived but I loved him then and I had always loved Maggie. So last September when I found out that they’d gotten together I was shocked and excited and hooked. And, since they are involved with so many others, I ended up getting interested in the rest of the stories. I would also love to see Justin and/or Adrienne, even just once a week or two. They both are solid characters, which is something the show is seriously lacking right now.
