I think one of the girls will be going tonight. A couple just didn’t cut it.
March 8, 2012 at 3:56 pm #31626PattiParticipantI may be wrong, but if that’s the case, I think Shannon will go home. She did not do that song justice; on the other end of that, Jessica brought chills down my spine. I closed my eyes and saw Whitney Houston singing that song. Jessica’s voice is amazing, and she is the one to beat. If a guy does go home, I would not care if it were the Asian (can’t think of his name, just that that it sounds like "Hey Jude") … I just don’t think that he’s all that, as many others seem to think.
March 8, 2012 at 11:09 pm #31628caseyParticipantright? So 2 would be going.
That’s funny, I think of Hey Jude too on that guy. He has a pleasant voice but nothing I don’t think that will inspire throngs of kids to buy his CDs.March 9, 2012 at 1:16 am #31629NoraParticipantI agree Jessica was the best of the night. There were two other girls I liked but don’t know the names. The country singer and the other girl had blonde hair I think. Hallie or something like that. Hejun is still my fav guy, he was just ok. I liked the first guy, Jake? the churchy guy. I still don’t really like the long curly haired guy, he reminds me of the one guy a few seasons ago, he also had long curly hair. He did a good job though but do nt like him. Sorry I don’t know the names yet. I liked the guy with the different colored hair, he was good last nite. I think my guy that j-lo saved might be in trouble of going home. He and that girl with long blonde hair will be in the bottom. Phillip phillips did a good job but he might be a one trick pony like the guy with the long curly hair. Sorry I’ll learn the names eventually!
March 9, 2012 at 3:53 am #31634caseyParticipantwith Jeremy going home. I’m not as keen on the shorter blonde girl as the judges – really good voice but somehow kind of generic to me, but it does look like Jessica at the moment.
Phil is just TOO like a Dave Matthews clone – even down to his look and gestures.March 9, 2012 at 5:59 am #31635DeeLanParticipantI too don’t car for HeeJun. He’s got a good voice but rubs me the wrong way. The guy with the long curly hair reminds does remind me of that guy a few seasons ago with the dreadlocks that threw himself under the bus to get eliminated.. Last night he was decent but he sang in a normal voice, when he sings in that falsetto he’s awful.
March 9, 2012 at 6:05 pm #31656NoraParticipantI wasn’t surprised with the results last night. I really liked that guy but he just wasnt strong enough, maybe he’ll get better and come back next year and be stronger. Not surprised at the girls either, either one of those girls deserved to go home. I was surprised that Joshua , the gosple singer guy, and Erica van pelt were in the bottom 3 but they were safe. I liked Erika,
March 9, 2012 at 10:52 pm #31659DeeLanParticipantFrom what I understand if a contestant makes it to the final 24 that’s it, they can’t try out again.
Last week when they were announcing the results and Jimmy was giving his critique he said that about Ebon. He felt he was a great singer but didn’t think he was strong enough for the competition but felt next year he would be and if AI didn’t change their rules he couldn’t come back which would be a shame.
March 9, 2012 at 10:55 pm #31660bluebonnetParticipantthe rules about who can come back and who can’t? The judges mentioned something about this the other night, and it seems like they said those in the top 25 (or maybe top 10?) can’t come back another year. I could have heard wrong, though.
Sorry, I just read DeeLan’s post that answers this question. She and I must have been posting at the same time.
March 11, 2012 at 10:57 pm #31706goodolddaysParticipantI just got back from Florida – went to the American Idol experience at Disney. Most of the people we heard sing there were better than the ones on the show! The winner there actually wins a guaranteed audition for the actual show. It was pretty cool.
March 12, 2012 at 10:42 am #31707BonbonParticipantHow come you didn’t stop in and say hi?
I think that kind of thing is always better when you see it in person rather than on the TV. I know that’s true of comedians, they are much funnier in person than on TV. I don’t know why but I suspect it’s probably the same for singers.
Glad you enjoyed. Disney World is my FAVORITE place on earth!
