I’m watching AI right now, I missed the first couple singers, HeJun just sang Richard Marx, waiting for you, he didn’t do a great job so he may be in trouble. But i think he’s popular enough to get thru. I still love him. He needs to mix it up too, and not get stuck in singing ballads all the time.
March 15, 2012 at 12:46 am #31792NoraParticipantAre you kidding????? I didn’t like Elise at all and the judges are raving about her and saying she’s back! ick, she sounded out of tune practically the whole song I thought. The dude with the very curly hair is just finishing, it was ok, but as Simon used To say it was forgettable. He had a couple pitch problems. It was boring but good.
March 15, 2012 at 12:55 pm #31800caseyParticipanteven Jessica wasn’t impressive. As the judges say it’s all about song choice and apparently most of the contestants had a tough time choosing.
A shame about Jermaine. Did he think his legal troubles wouldn’t surface? And from his rehearsal, that performance sounded like it could have been one of the strongest.
I do have to compliment Jennifer Lopez. I believe she’s much more confident and has a lot more technically constructive things to say this season.March 15, 2012 at 3:29 pm #31811PattiParticipantI like his voice, but that hair ruins him for me. Actually, no one was hitting it out of the park last night, and the votes are surely going in the "my favorite" direction tonight. Again, I think the Asian kid will be in the bottom this week. I really like Erica Van Pelt, but she didn’t hit that song like Jimmy thought she would. On the other hand, everyone had some sort of problem last night. Not a good night for me. I don’t like Elise that much either, but she did a better job for me last night than anything else she’s tried to do so far. And I really like Holly….a lot. She has one of those "Disney" voices to me, and I think Jessica did a good job with Turn The Beat Around, which is a very hard song to sing, but agree it was not her best. Joshua was the only one who truly rocked the house last night for me. Loved the song, loved the arrangement, and his voice and on-stage presence were all perfect for me last night.
March 15, 2012 at 7:45 pm #31816NoraParticipantI’m watching idol from last nite. Phillip Phillips just sang, I thought he did a great job and he just had surgery! wow! I love his name. I wonder is I love Jessicas sequence pants. Lol. I’d never wear them but I thought they were cool. Something j-lo or heck even Steven would wear, lol. Watching Colton now, I like him. He’s good, and did a good job on that one. He sort of looks like Jim carrey a little bit. I think he’s one of my favorites. I really like Erika van pelt. I’m not too crazy about skylar. The country girl. She’s good but reminds me of Kelly pickller i sort of annoying. I like Joshua too. Lol. He was the best of the night! well so Hollie Was ok nothing really spectacular, the judges liked it more than i did.
March 15, 2012 at 9:11 pm #31818DeeLanParticipantI like to check dialidol.com to see how they predict the votes went based on busy signals. Theyusually have them green, yellow and red where red is almost guaranteed to be bottom vote getters and this early it’s only yellow/green.
They have HeeJun at the bottom but they also say this early on it’s hard to tell due to the number of contestants.
This is the results so far.
Joshua Ledet 1-4 – – Phillip Phillips 1-5 – – Hollie Cavanagh 1-6 – – Skylar Laine 1-6 – – Jessica Sanchez 2-11 (B3)
– – Shannon Magrane 3-11 (B3)
– – Elise Testone 5-11 (B3)
– – Colton Dixon 5-11 (B3)
– – DeAndre Brackensick 5-11 (B3)
– – Erika Van Pelt 5-11 (B3)
– – Heejun Han 5-11 (B3)

March 16, 2012 at 1:14 am #31821bluebonnetParticipantof a young Bruce Dern. His hair is distracting for me, too. I like his hair only if it is covered with a cap!
All in all, though, it really seems like a good group of singers/performers this year.
March 16, 2012 at 2:24 am #31823PattiParticipantno surprise there, mainly because when she sang for a one-time-only save, she sang the song exactly like she did the first time, even though the judges thought she over-sang the song. I guess she was nervous, but I would have thought she would have toned it down a bit in her save round. Well, she is only 16, so she repeated the same mistakes for which she was criticized. Poor baby, the harder she tried to hit some of those notes tonight, the worse she sounded, so I can only guess that the judges felt they were right. She just wasn’t ready. Still, I liked her better they Hee June (SP?).
March 16, 2012 at 2:54 am #31825NoraParticipantWhich one was Shannon? Was she like the 3rd or 4th person to sing? Is she the one with the raspy voice the judges seem to love? I’ll just have to go look her up on. Idol.com.
March 16, 2012 at 5:19 am #31826DeeLanParticipantShe was the one with the silver colored shorts and darker tight/hose.
I agree with the judges and even Jimmy that some of them try to oversing the songs. The seem to scream or yell the songs and it takes away from them. They need to realize it’s not the one that can sing the loudest or put the most power behind the notes but the ones that can actually hit them and blend one note into the next to make a melody.
March 16, 2012 at 3:42 pm #31842PattiParticipantfor wearing "flats". She’s taller than everyone on the show, maybe except for Jermain, who was kicked off. Her father was a major league baseball player.
