This really sends a message to girls that to get a guy they have to resort to underhanded means. They cannot win a guy with charm and just being really nice. They have to change radically and dupe a guy to make them love or admire them.
Days often goes this route rather than letting sweetness win out. Just lazy writing rather than developing a relationship through normal methods.
I think the message it sends is that it never works and ends up in disaster when they resort to these ways. And, as far as winning with sweetness, isn’t that what Gabby originally did?
But, I agree, lazy writing proliferates on this show.
I’ve always felt if they (writers) can’t find a good storyline for a character, then cut em’ loose. Gabbi is nothing more than a prop at this point. Maybe she should pay more attention to what’s happening to Abbey because of deception.
as I recall, Chad liked her as a friend. Didn’t he take her to some dance, but they didn’t click. She won Will’s heart by being sweet. Is her resorting to this wickedness really necessary? To me they are changing her character so drastically and I don’t like it. Are the writers trying to make all of the females like Sami–gotta trick and deceive the guys to win their hearts?
When you say that I could see if she acted more like Melanie to try to get the guys. I mean sweet might have gotten her a date with Chad but nothing more. Sweet got her Will but he didn’t want to have sex with her after the firs time so she’s thinking there’s something wrong with her and she’s trying to change and become the girl who GETS the guys. The problem is, she doesn’t know that it wasn’t HER that Will didn’t want, it was girls in general.
I think she is just as creepy as Abigail…she will stoop to anything to get Chad! I’m getting tired of all of these girls that are so obsessed with guys they can’t have.
Can’t they write a decent story line for a change and stop all these poor desperate girls going after the wrong men??????
