Ok I know that I am probably going to be in the minority here but I have been thinking about this for a while, like every time I see Carrie and Sami and Rafe together.
And to get this out of the way immediately, I am not about to condone what Sami did with EJ because it was STUPID beyond words but…
I am very much put off by the portrayal of Carrie in all of this. Every time Sami laces into her about sucking her husband’s face off she acts as if it was no big deal just because they didn’t sleep together. Even though she didn’t know about Sami and EJ when they were making out. Carrie, of her own volition and with no remorse whatsoever, put the moves on Rafe. And she feels no shame about it. Just a "mistake". And she wants to hold it against her husband that after finding out about CArrie and Rafe kissing he got drunk and passed out and some maniac 20 something lied about sleeping with him because somehow it must have been all Austin’s fault anyway.
Even Rafe has somehow tried to justify what he did because of Sami’s romp with EJ. But, again, what bothers me about that is when they were making out he had no idea what Sami had done with EJ so he shouldn’t be using that as an excuse. He needs to deal with the fact that in his own way he was cheating on his wife with HER SISTER.
It is time for both Rafe and Carrie to own up to their parts in all of this brouhaha instead of deflecting it. I wish they would make Sami grow up but I really wish, and now I will sound like Sami LOL, that St. Carrie would fall off her pedestal once and for all.
And again I repeat I am not condoning what Sami did but think that these two are using that, and Austin’s passing out drunk, as an excuse for their relationship instead of admitting that they were moving along when they didn’t know anything about either episode.
And now for generalities as to what puts me off on this story is the way marriage and relationships between men and women are treated on this show. Here was Rafe, all mister I love you just the way you are Sami, and within moments of meeting her sister, it seems, he was ready to jump her. Just because they worked together.
Carrie, all so in love with Austin, couldn’t spend 5 minutes alone with another man without deciding she was falling in love with him. Like today when she told him she believed he didn’t sleep with Nicole because she knows the kind of man he is. HA, how could that be Carrie? Oh I know, because he was a nice guy and willing to find that lady’s cat for free (or whatever that stupid storyline was).
I guess I am just sick of knowing that on this show as soon as some happily married woman gets a job working with some happily married man both marriages are doomed. It is just such a repetitive story on this show and becoming quite tiresome.
Ok so much for my rant. Thanks for listening, LOL!

Austin may be able to put the blinders on where Carrie is concerned, but I certainly cannot. Same for Rafe, who I’m sorry to say these writers have turned into a complete and total hypocrite as well. I swear, I truly believe that Carrie is sorry that Austin didn’t have sex with Abbey, because now she has no excuse except to say, well, why didn’t you tell me the truth when you "thought" you did have sex with her???? HELLO, "Hypocrisy", Carrie is thy name —- why didn’t you admit how you were falling for Rafe, and vice-versa way before you realized what Austin supossedly did or did not do, or, for that matter, what Sami did with E.J.? I’ll never get that picture of Carrie not so subtly p-teasing Rafe with those ice cube boob-rubs, and him watching her ass every time she walked to the file cabinet. I despise Carrie, and Rafe has definitely fallen off his pedestal as far as I’m concerned as well. These writers simply do not know how to write for couples "supposedly" in love. I honestly think Austin is too good for Carrie, and he should take a page out of Daniel’s book, kick her serial cheating butt to the curb and walk out of her life for good.

I cant stand Carrie. UGH. I was never that big a fan of her but even less now. I couldnt believe she wanted to try and make amends with Sami? Is she insane? LOL. I cant believe that Marlena isnt yelling at Carrie as much as she is at Sami, I mean Carrie is trying to steal Sami’s HUSBAND away. I’m still not buying Rafe’s love for Carrie, but I do believe Carrie and agree why is Austin trying to fix their marriage. She’s a serial Cheater. Go back to Switzerland or whereever they were living!!
March 29, 2012 at 11:54 pm #32048caseyParticipantbut once again, the writers seem determined to trash once popular characters with their return. I don’t even know why they brought back Carrie and Austin because right now I could care less.
March 30, 2012 at 12:29 am #32049lynnekarenParticipantWhat bothered me today was when Sami confronted Rafe about being shirtless in Nicoles room, Carrie had the nerve to look at Rafe as if she were also offended or needed an explanation as well.
Omg I’m sick of every one at this point.
