another paternity test will be switched. This time it will be Rafe and Nicole. These writers do not have an original thought in their heads!
April 2, 2012 at 1:34 pm #32102PattiParticipantHe must not care what he brings in to write for this show, and probably thinks it’s going to tank at the end of its contract anyway, which it will if the ratings don’t begin to rise. Not just DOOL … All soaps (all 4 left in the U.S. anyway) are in danger of going off the air. Between the decline in ratings and the rising costs in production, I see no hope for soap operas in another year or two. I hope I’m wrong, but that’s the way it looks to me. So we may as well just sit back and watch what happens to the actors and the stories of those we are still vested in for now. I certainly don’t like another paternity test storyline either, but I would rather see that than to have Nicole lose her baby.
April 2, 2012 at 1:52 pm #32103mommytutuParticipantReally??!! How the hell could this baby be Rafe’s? Even my 11 yr. old could probably figure out the impossibility of that. And repeating another unoriginal story like switched paternity tests is getting old. I think some writers need to be fired. They are repeating the Abby/Austin story with Gabi/Chad. Repeat of the Pawn and Gina, repeating paternity test switches, repeating Sami and Lucas, etc. Can we please have some originality? No wonder soaps are going down the tubes. If we’ve already seen this story before, why do we the viewers want to see it again. At this rate Ken Corday will have Days off the air within the year.
April 2, 2012 at 2:18 pm #32108BonbonParticipantI read recently that they are thinking of increasing the number of Telenovas…get this…for the English speaking viewers. Go figure.
What makes me scratch my head is that with so many soaps going off the air, there should be a plethora of good writers out there. So why don’t we have the cream of the crop writing for Days? Huh?
April 2, 2012 at 2:40 pm #32109DeeLanParticipantYES!!!
I also read on Days Cafe that Sami tells Lucas she has unresolved feelings for him. Lucas’s flight reservations get canceled and of course he blames or suspects Sami. So it’s the same-ol-same-ol with those two.
April 2, 2012 at 3:06 pm #32110mshults60ParticipantI’m not sure I know just what that is???? Can you explain a bit?? Thanks.
April 2, 2012 at 3:39 pm #32111dvalParticipantI read the description for today’s show on my daily guide on DirectTV and it said that Rafe tells EJ he is the father of Nicole’s baby. And tomorrow EJ asks for a paternity test. Then Rafe and Nicole tell Daniel EJ knows so who do we think is switching this paternity test? I’m guessing Daniel. This is so boring and tiresome…God knows why I watch this show anymore. Wouldn’t it be nice just once to let some woman admit who she is pregnant by and then fight for her and her baby’s rights? Now that mighit make for interesting soap opera but nope. Just this same old crapola. Someone explain to me how this baby could possibly be Rafe’s in anyone’s wildest imagings. Guess they will ‘fess up that they have been having an affair for months? STUPID.
April 2, 2012 at 3:42 pm #32112dvalParticipantThey are, I believe, soap operas with short-term story arcs. They end and resolve in about 6 weeks, if I remember right, and then move on to another arc. Very popular in Spanish speaking countries. If you watch Dancing With the Stars William Levy is a big telenovella star.
April 2, 2012 at 5:45 pm #32119BonbonParticipantMaybe Days should switch to that format.
April 6, 2012 at 3:05 am #32249majencoParticipantYes and I think they use the same actors over and over but with new storylines.
