I am finishing up watching American idol from last night, and I have to say, I think that Phillip was my favorite this week, he’s so adorable!! and WOW on jessicas second song! I’m so glad she did an uptempo song for a change. Skylar is my least favorite, i really hope she goes home tonight. She just really annoys me. I loved joshuas version of fantasias last song, I thought he did a much better job than she did too! I thought everyone did a pretty good job, but I’m afraid that Elise will be in the bottom again, she just isn’t as popular.
It’s getting clearer and clearer that it’s all about popularity. I think that’s why Jessica was "out" (until she was saved) last week. Skylar is my least favorite, too, so hope she goes home. I liked Hollie a lot more last night and ditto for Phillip, though he has been my favorite for a while. I thought that was an odd remark that Joshua made to J Lo about her abs, but of course she ate it up. I didn’t like Colton at all last night. My pick for the bottom three tonight are Colton, Jessica, and Skylar, though I’m sure I’ll be wrong!
I don’t like Jessica or Joshua AT ALL ! Their voices grate on my nerves, lol. I did like Hollie last night, and Philip and Colton. It sure sounds like the judges are trying to tell us who to vote for though, and I find that insulting. It’s OUR vote, not yours!
Last night was a complete disappointment for me. Everyone, and I mean everyone, is starting to think they have to scream their songs, and at some point they hit those "pitchy" notes that are so obvious. I didn’t care for the song choices last night, or the way the contestants changed some versions of their songs. Every song doesn’t need to be rearranged. For me, last night was nothing more than the final 7 trying to outdo one another in the "loud" department, and it failed for me. All I heard was a lot of strained vocals, followed by too much yelling instead of singing. With the exception of Colton, who I do admire and favor, they are all showing signs of one-trick ponies. I will give kudos to Phillip last night for finally losing the guitar on his second song.
in that I wasn’t overall that impressed with the evening’s entertainment. I do believe many of the song choices did not ride well with some of the voices.
What is it about Sky that the judges rave about? She shreiks and growls all her songs and it turns me off.
Elise, I take her as not the warmest person, which might be her demise. And don’t mess with Marvin Gaye – that rendition was not good.
I still like Colton even though he took a big risk with “September.” It’s one of my favorites and I did not mind his rendition.My fav from last night was Hollie and Phillip, I have always liked Jessica,if she gets voted off tonight again she will still go far.. I think the bottom three will be Colton, Skylar and Elise but both Colton and Skylar has a large fan base so I am sure I will be surprised with the voters bottom three. Normally I do not start voting untill the top five.
Even though I think Jessica has a well trained voice she’s getting on my nerves with her song choices though I am glad she did an uptempo for her second choice.
Elise is growing on me vocally but I can’t stand the way she stoops at the knees and bends at the waist during all her songs. She looks like she’s trying to hide her height but to me it accentuates it.
Colton is talented but I don’t like his arrangements on a lot of the songs.
Joshua is "eh, okay" but nothing great and I wish he’d wear a jacket that fits him. He told Tommy Hilfiger he wears one size but prefers the size smaller. He reminds me PeeWee Herman with the fit of those jackets and it distracts from his vocals to me.
Holly is good but sounds the same in every song.
Skyler screams too much and I don’t hear her vocals too much
Phillip was my favorite last night.
It’s anybody’s guess who will be voted off tonight but I don’t think the judges did Jessica any favors by pimping her. The voters usually go the opposite way and vote that person off because they don’t want to be told who to vote fore.
Vote for the worst is encouraging voters to vote for Philip so that means they think he’s the worst of the group though I don’t agree.
Dial Idol predicts Colgon going home but not by much.

They’re usually right when they get down to the last 5. Then they put the bottom 3 in red rather then yellow. Last week they had Elise as going home but did have Jessica in the bottom 3. They had DeAndre and HeeJun right. The week Erika went home they had her in the bottom 3 with DeAndre as going home that week.
I like to see what they come up with and compare to how the votes actually turn out. They’re usually not that far off when it gets to less people.
Colton I guess just did not pick the right material. Too bad, as I wished a couple others had gone before him.
I can’t believe Colton was voted off!! so wrong!! I swear country girl must have a HUGE following. Who else was in the bottom 3?
I think the judges felt the same way. Randy did NOT look pleased at all. At one point he looked to me like he wanted to say something, maybe say that Colton didn’t deserve to go home and he wasn’t going to let him.
