That Bo Brady really had me fuming today. Call me old-fashioned but what loving dad moves in his new paramour and expects to see his daughter at the house where they’re playing nooky?
Especially when Ciara is showing the stress of everything she’s been thrown into.
A decent father would never compromise his daughter in this way. And why da heck does Carly need to move in anyway?
I hope for once in her life Carly sees the light and does what’s best for Bo’s child, even if daddy apparently doesn’t have a clue.February 3, 2010 at 11:08 pm #10223loritrollParticipantI could not agree more!! I blamed Hope for a lot of things and still do, but if he really cared about his daughter’s feelings, he wouldn’t push her to accept something or someone the way he is. It’s ridiculous! And, Carly is really pushing it with me. She’s gone for like two decades then comes back and inserts herself into everyone’s life again like she has the right to do that? Let alone push this "secret" on Bo and expect him to throw his life away to "protect her". I seriously want to slap her. And, while I’m at it, slap Bo too.
February 4, 2010 at 1:16 am #10226IzzyBParticipantShe has several times told Bo he needs to tell Hope the truth and he is the one that has said no. So really she does not expect him to do anything to harm his relationship with his daughter or Hope. She has also tried to fight moving in with him in the past and when he was living there she wanted to move out several times and he stopped her, before she finally did leave without his permission.
I don’t think Carly is the evil one here. I think Bo and Hope in the stage that they will do anything to hurt each other and neither is thinking of their daughter.
February 4, 2010 at 3:22 am #10229macrrParticipantActually, she did protest some at the beginning, and some throughout this painful SL. But one gets the feeling it was not sincere, as in: "Oh, Bo. I really can’t intrude upon you in this most dire, dangerous time of my llife, which will cause people to drop like flies if you don’t help me, but I really can’t ask you to do that. Stop, no really."
Having said that, however, Bo and Hope’s problems are their own. They would likely still be living apart even if Carly wasn’t in town.
Back to the topic: unfortunately, MANY people do this exact same thing when they separate. I see it often enough, and firmly warn my clients against such behavior. Sad, but true.
February 4, 2010 at 2:06 pm #10238PattiParticipantfor Ciara’s actions. She may be only 5 years old, but she knows what has been happening between her parents. They’ve both been using her in a tug-of-war to satisfy their own selfish needs, and it is slowly destroying this child. Children her age may be somewhat resilient to certain bad situations, but when that situation rips away their security blanket, in this case the two people Ciara loves most in the entire world, the repercussion that follows is often devastating to the child. I feel so sorry for Ciara, and if she does spiral out of control, both Bo and Hope will have to start pointing the finger of guilt in the right direction….the mirror. As for Carly, if she really wanted to leave, the needy *itch would and should have before her careless disregard for Ciara’s meltdown ever reached this point. She knew Ciara didn’t want her there; instead she put this baby’s feelings aside because she IS weak and needy, and honestly, all three of them disgust me.
February 4, 2010 at 2:59 pm #10240BonbonParticipantI’m glad they decided to show Ciera’s displeasure with Carly moving in by doing something bad. Too often they make these kids such little angels that they are almost not human. And I thought it was wise for Hope to tell Bo they shouldn’t reward her bad behavior. For once, they got it right.
February 4, 2010 at 3:06 pm #10242mommytutuParticipantYou are right Patti, the fault lies with both of them. Bo is making mistake after mistake, and Hope is so hell bent on blaming Carly that she probably speaks badly of her in front of Ciera. I can’t take this lame storyline. It’s driving me crazy!
