I cannot believe that the writers were nominated!!!
The 2 nominees for actress and supporting actor have been let go. Says alot!! There aren’t that many soaps left and DOOL still cannot get nominations!!!!
Glad to see that Chandler got nominated.

ParticipantI heard this morning that the Ellen show was not nominated and the show I had on said it was because the show did not nominate themselves. So I checked the emmy website and found in the rules
In order to be considered for an emmy award you have to nominate yourself or be nominated by someone. If there are too many nominees then they do a preliminary screening and eliminate some of the nominees.
So I guess anyone could really nominate themselves………

ParticipantHe is absolutely superior compared to any of the young actors I see on other soaps, at least the 3 I watch anyway (Y&R and GH). Even though I find myself getting a little perturbed at the "angry" Will sometimes, he does it so well and convincing. He is going to be a big in the near future.

Participantand when the new writers came on, we all were impressed, the problem was, it didn’t last! I’m guessing that Carly got nominated for the stuff she did as a drug addict and Jack for the few scenes of his post traumatic stress. I’m more surprised that some of the other real "main actors" didn’t get nominated. Sad!

ParticipantIt seems like she has been gone for way more than a year.

Participantyears back. At that time, she was winning every year and she decided that was enough and did not nominate anything to do with Oprah from that point on. It looks like Ellen is thinking the same thing. Both of those ladies are hard to beat.

ParticipantWell, since these are self nominations, I guess the other actors felt they weren’t worthy or interested. After all, Rafe had the dual role for part of the year.
Who else did something memorable?
