Maybe this has been discussed previously, but so many people are talking about killing Stefano that I must wonder if there is a murder mystery in the making with S. as the target. I would say almost all the main characters have said (in the presence of others) that they would love to put the old man down. I haven’t seen any spoilers that point that way, yet why would that statement come from so many without the end result being murder?
right before the break for the summer Olympics. Joe M. is in negotiations with the show and the network’s reps right now, so I’m sure, depending upon whether or not JM decides to stay, that will be the next big umbrella storyline because of all the people involved as possible suspects. I read this on soapcentral.com the other day. I know that Joe’s contract is winding down, and so far he’s leaning toward leaving if, in fact, they cannot reach an agreement.
By the way, Kristian Alphonso has re-signed with DOOL, but no word yet on Peter Reckell, who’s contract is up, I believe, in August. That scares me more than Joe M., because I don’t think I could take a recast of Bo Brady.
Anyway, I believe they are preparing for Stefano’s demise, followed by an all-out umbrella "whodunit" storyline.
some of the best Days were back in the day with the original Roman who was Wayne Northrup and Steffeno. Does anyone know what years those were?
recast Bo if Peter left. I think it’d be kind of like Rene’s Lexie. She’s played the part so long I don’t believe the fans would accept a replacement.
I think the same thing with Stefano. If Joe does leave, we’ll probably see Ian take over as the resident bad guy (YUCK!).
I can’t possibly imagine them trying to recast either of these characters. And just imagine the acting we’d get out if Hope if Bo should die or get killed. It would be Emmy fodder for sure.
Robert keller-Kelly did a good job when he took over Bo’s roll when he was involved with Billie. But I agree, no one could replace stefano. I don’t know what his problem is with accepting ej. He accepted Kristin and her brother Peter as his own kids, and tony wasn’t his bio kid either was he? I don’t count Tony just because stefano didn’t love him until AFTER he died, then he had all this unconditional love for his son.
Martha Madison was a great recast, the only recast I didn’t like was the one they did with Jennifer. I didn’t like her at all. And the Billie, the actress that was in liar liar.I loved Wayne N. as Roman in the 80’s. Then they brought him back a couple years ago in an awful storyline. He was some weird stalker person or something. Bad, very bad. Seems like "you can’t go home again" rings true alot for these actors that have been gone and then are brought back to very bad storylines – e.g. Kayla, Patch, Jennifer… It may be too early to have an opinion about Shane.
I think that Stefano is trying to protect EJ because he knows that the FBI and ISA are closing in on him and he wantsto protect EJ from any fallout. I cannot accept Stefano not loving EJ cause he isnot his son
unles Stef knows that Ej is John’s son??how many years ago was that? I think Peter IS Bo now and the fans just wouldn’t accept a replacement. If I were one of TIIC, I’d kill him off before I’d recast him.
arrested as a result of that set up with the arms dealer and Harmon’s not realizing that it is a set up to nail his boss. They are also saying that Lexie’s last day is June 20th and that a former Days actor (actress?) may be returning from the show s/he is presently on – sounds like Kristin DiMera to me. Doubt it’s Nadia or Kirstin Storms as neither is on a different soap at the present time.
I’d read about Stefano getting arrested too but also that he gets out of jail so looks like this won’t be his undoing either.
he is given immunity (by the CIA, I think) from prosecution for all crimes and charges against him, so again we will all be huffing and puffing about him getting off once again through his control over those in authority. It makes me want to kill himyself. Anyway, this is even more reason to believe he will be killed off. So, now, I suppose it’s off to "Italia", as Bo mentioned.
