Was anyone else surprised it was Arsenio instead of Aubrey? I missed the first ten minutes so I’m assuming last year’s duo who interviewed them were not impressed with Aubrey’s attitude. Anyone see this?
In addition, for the first time I was critical of Clay. He seemed to be overdoing the “I’m in charge” bit, much edgier than previously. But what bothered me was his language and the amount that had to be bleeped. I had seen no evidence of this before, and particularly in light of the fact that his charity involves kids – many of whom were likely tuning in – I felt he should have filtered himself more.
Maybe i’m from the old school but I did not find the “F’- You’s” put him in any kind of favorable light, given his “nice guy” reputation.surprised Aubrey didn’t make it but I think it was Trump’s opinion of her young age more than anything else.
And I 100% agree about Clay’s language. I’m certainly not a prude but I don’t think TV is the place to talk like that. Even though they bleep it out, you still know what they are saying so what’s the difference. And especially that frequently. I have no respect for people who talk like that on TV…NONE! And, you can throw just about all of them into that same barrel. It almost seems like they are obligated to use the "F" word so people will think they are just a "regular guy."
I’ll tell you what though, I certainly changed my opinion of Arsenio. I used to think he was somewhat of an oaf but he has certainly proved me wrong on this show. That’s one reason I like Celebrity Apprentice so much, because you get to see what some of these people are REALLY like. I think Dionne Warwick surprised me the most.
and I’m also now of a different opinion of Arsenio and Clay. To the positive for Arsenio and the negative for Clay. Next week should be interesting.
and to me has played the game better than anyone. I sensed a long way back, though, that he seemed to have a temper (but always in his control) when pushed too far. This week’s language may not have been necessary, even though I believe a lot of it is ‘staged,’ but his point is always made. That’s what a project manager is supposed to do … take control and delegate, delegate, delagate, and that’s what he did. I was somewhat surprised that Aubrey was fired, but I can’t shake the feeling that Trump knew he was going to fire her, but waited until the last minute so he could sort of knock her off her high-horse. I think he was tired of her patting herself on the back for everything, including what others did. Yes, I think The Donald always knew who he wanted in the end, and that was Arsenio and Clay. Aubrey was her own worst enemy, IMO, plus I think the Trump children harbored some ill feelings about Aubrey on more than one task and let her know it as well, and if it’s one thing Trump does highly respect, it’s the opinions voiced by his children on each task.
I think Clay’s talent is far superior to Arsenio’s, whose comedy I never did appreciate, so I’m betting Clay will take it all. I hope so, anyway.
that Arsenio explosion going off on Aubrey. Yeah, she deserved it but I found it way way over the top. So kind of tit for tat with me about Clay vs Arsenio.
I think Clay is still seething about losing AI way back when and being known as the runnerup. Even though I think his career has gone better. I believe there’s a lot beneath the surface with Clay and that he has had to “control” some inner demons for awhile.
