Holy cow, it went suddenly from my DVR working overtime to practically nothing at all to watch. I hope the summer programming starts pretty soon or I may have to, gasp, do something else at night. I have resorted to (the past couple of nights) even watching stuff I’ve already seen or shows that are just horrible.
I can’t read because I fall asleep and I just don’t seem to have the gumption after 8:00 to do anything physical. Yes, I’m an addicted TV watcher and certified couch potato. But, after 72 years, I think I’m entitled to it.
June 1, 2012 at 12:23 pm #33415bluebonnetParticipantof the reason that Hatfields and McCoys on the History channel this week did so well in the ratings. All the regular shows have ended. That, plus it was a pretty darn good mini-series.
June 1, 2012 at 5:41 pm #33438NoraParticipantOh bonbon you’re forgetting that Rizzoli and isles is starting tuesday!! and I dont know if you watched Franklin and Bash but it starts tuesday too right after R & R. It won’t be long!
June 2, 2012 at 12:16 pm #33472BonbonParticipantWhat network is R&I on? I tried to set my DVR but couldn’t find it.
I also discovered Fairly Legal has begun and Royal Pains starts next week too. They are both pretty good shows…not great but highly watchable.
June 2, 2012 at 2:26 pm #33473NoraParticipantR & R and franklin and bash are both on TNT. On tuesdays this time.
June 2, 2012 at 8:21 pm #3348253tdogsParticipantmore good programing like that on t.v. – it did get excellent ratings. Everyone’s taste in t.v., movies, books, is so eclectic and diversified – so I hesitate to recommend anything – summer has always been a bit dry for t.v. watching…it has improved somewhat over the last five years but still it’s a bust compared to fall/winter season. DVR is smoking due to working overtime some days and other days it is dusty from no action. Let’s have a happy medium here television producers!
June 2, 2012 at 9:58 pm #33485BonbonParticipantThanks. I just couldn’t remember what network it was on.
June 3, 2012 at 7:21 pm #33502NoraParticipantHey bonbon,
I don’t know if you have ever watched Drop Dead Diva before but the new season starts tonight, I think I missed last season. It’s a funny lawyer show. It’s about this stuck up model and she gets hit by a car or something, and dies, and she’s reincarnated into an over weight woman. Her best friend knows who she really is and she has a guardian angel, who everyone can see. It reminds me of Franklin and Bash in a way. It’s on lifetime tonight at 9 pm.
June 3, 2012 at 8:59 pm #33503BonbonParticipantcouple of episodes but couldn’t get into it. I like that kind of stuff when someone has died and…whatever. I’m looking forward to Saving Hope (I think that’s the name) this season because that looks good.
What is the premise of Franklin and Bash. Maybe I’ll watch that.
June 4, 2012 at 1:00 am #33508NoraParticipantIt’s going to be on right after Rissoi and isles. So 10pm on Tuesday. Must say how Zack from saved by the bell sure grew up to be one handsome guy!
June 4, 2012 at 9:48 pm #33531caseyParticipantThey’ve begun new episodes. What a cast of characters – the foul old man and the dumbo Chumley. I find it entertaining and educational both.
June 5, 2012 at 10:16 am #33544BonbonParticipantuntil they started doing reruns for three years ago. I’m glad to know new ones are starting too. You can learn a lot from the show and they are pretty entertaining too.
I don’t think we are really getting what we see though. Chumlee is not as stupid as he appears. Every once in a while they’ll give us a glimpse of his knowledge.
June 6, 2012 at 3:29 pm #3359753tdogsParticipantvery fun and entertaining way. How come all these folks have all this good stuff in their attics – I have dust and cobwebs! LOL.
