So…if Stephano is ‘dead’, and Kate’s divorce hasn’t gone through yet, does that mean she will inherit all of Stephano’s assests? I don’t know the legalities of divorce proceedings so I am just curious..lol
June 4, 2012 at 8:21 pm #33527lynnekarenParticipantAs long as there’s no prenup or it was outlined before they were married? Of course his will has a lot to do with it also.

And, I’m pretty sure, Stefano hadn’t made a change yet, unless he got a two for one at the attorney store and did the will and the divorce at the same time. Not likely IMO.
June 5, 2012 at 12:35 pm #33546KseeParticipantNot likely? this is Days we are talking about, the writers make up their own rules and legalities as they go along
June 5, 2012 at 5:36 pm #33554fanodaysParticipantthat a good lawyer would be sure that a new will is drawn up at the same time of the divorce. Same with changing the beneficiaries on life insurance policies etc. Especially when it is someone of considerable means like Stefano. When my friend divorced, the lawyer asked about these things early on in the proceedings. And with the hatred Stafano has for Kate, I would think he would be sure to cut her out of the will. And EJ too! So who does that leave? Chad? Would he leave something for Theo?
Of course, if he is not really dead, it’s all a moot point!
June 5, 2012 at 11:09 pm #33561PattiParticipantthere is a new LW&T. I don’t know what he did as far as Kate is concerned, but he definitely disinherited E.J. However, a spoiler revealed that E.J. claims the Will was not executed; therefore, it would revert back to the prior Will, which probably leaves everything to E.J. Who knows? All I know is that Kate definitely had her hands on that gun, so why was she so adamant about not knowing why her prints were on it. Seems that would make her more suspect in Roman’s eyes (who, did a good, thorough job today, I thought). Also, Stefano still holds the proof that Kate tried to poison Chloe, as well. So, knowing Stefano as we do, it wouldn’t surprise me if he disinherited both E.J. and Kate, but also still has plenty of proof of their wrong-doings in someone else’s hands should anything happen to him. At least that’s the way the writers should have taken it. Guess we’ll have to wait and see, first, if Stefano is really dead. Personally, I think he is. Here’s why:
… JM still claims that he does not know if he will return and is enjoying his retirement, be it temporarily or not. The claim that Stefano is written into future plans is not a done deal, and no, JM has not as yet re-signed with the show. If so, it hasn’t been made known yet. Otherwise, the only way I can see Stefano returning is if it is not really Stefano, or he possibly is a twin and Stefano possibly is the son of Santo and Colleen, but not the "seventh" son (who knows how many are out there — I thought Ian was one) — and I’m hoping the trip to Italy reveals something along those lines, since the spoilers say more of Alice’s secrets from the grave will be revealed. Maybe he did something to his twin, who will be found in Italy, unaware of who he really is, and he’s the one who has the other half of the coin. Sorry, getting way ahead of myself now. Last part of this post is pure speculation on my part, but that’s the only way that bringing Stefano back would make sense to me, is that he possibly may be a twin and Alice knew it.
