The U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels Squadron just flew directly over my house. I thought a plane was crashing, it was so loud. Baltimore is celebrating the 200 year anniversary of the War of 1812 and the Blue Angels are doing practice runs around the city for their performances at Fort McHenry this weekend. Their practice maneuvers are breath-taking. The Inner Harbor is packed with Tall Ships and fleets from all over the world for Baltimore’s FIRST EVER "Star Spangled Sail-a-bration" . Believe me when I tell you, it is a magnificent sight to behold. Just beautiful, and the weather could not be more perfect!!!! So proud of Charm City for hosting this.
was high wire expert Nik Wallenda’s tightrope walk across Niagara Falls last night. It’s my neck of the woods so I was interested. I have no clue how he did it on a wet wire in the mist at night. And then “sprinting” to the finish!
boy, talk abut "death defying," that young man not only took the prize for the most amazing daredevil of all time, but he seems to be a very lovely person, loving family man, and has a strong faith in God, referencing his prayers, out loud, while walking the wire. The mist, the wind, the fact that he was 20 stories high, all made it a sight to behold. I was truly amazed. Hard to even think of what he will try next.
I couldn’t take my eyes off the TV the whole time he was walking the wire! Couldn’t believe that he sprinted to the finish either. I heard him say at the end that he had gotten the permit to cross the Grand Canyon but didn’t know when that will be.
he was wearing a safety harness. I tried to see if he had something but couldn’t see anything but then heard on the news that was the only way they would give him a permit, it he wore one. Even though he wouldn’t have fallen to his death, I don’t know how they would ever rescue him if he did fall…hellicopter?
