What’s with Chad hopping up and down all over the house?  He looks like a friggin’ bunny rabbit.  Even when he was down in the basement and was trying to get in the room he was bouncing like a rubber ball.  If you still have it recorded, check him out.  It was kind of funny.

the hopping around in those scenes. It’s an actor tool, among the many tools good actors employ.  It enhances their scenes and credibility of the moment.  It’s not required; however, many great, famous actors use them.  I think Chad did a fantastic job in these scenes, showing his impatience; chomping at the bit; being majorly concerned for Melanie, as her boyfriend; and frustration at being somewhat restrained in his desperate efforts to get to Melanie.  I usually pick up on – – and have appreciation for – – those things, having done a lot of acting in my life, even a little directing.  It is the main reason I watch any soap at all, lol.  Certain actors are what keep me watching.

using it to portray his frustration but I thought it was done so poorly that he made me think of a rabbit.  :o)  That or the old cartoon (I hope SOMEONE remembers) Gerald McBoing-Boing.

I have also done some acting and directing in neighborhood theater (far from what we watch on Days I’ll admit) and can certainly appreciate many of the techniques they employ.  It’s just that some are well executed and some are not.  I often cringe when they are not, thinking that professionals should be doing a better job.  Yes, I know, I know…this is not legitimate theater we are watching.  :o)  I should try to be more tolerant.
