Political Animals on USA?  OMG!  That is such a good show.  They are not calling it a series but a limited presentation (or something like that).  I guess that means it won’t be on as long as regular programing or renew for a second season.

The only thing I can compare it to is the first season of The West Wing although this one is not quite so "deep."  TWW was very into the political part where this one is more involving the people.  There is a tiny big of comedy, it is not "fluff."

It’s about a woman who was married to a womanizing former president, ran for president and lost, then became the Secretary of State.  (Sound familiar?)  But, no, it’s not about Hillary.  She has one son who works for her and another one who is a gay, addict.  Sigorney Weaver is the star and she does an EXCELLENT job in the role.

IMO, it is very well written, directed, and acted.  I was thoroughly engaged in the entire show and I can’t wait for the next episode Sunday at 10:00 pm.  I saw there was a rerun last night and, as USA is wont to do, there will probably be another.

I had set my DVR for it and finally got a chance to see it. I loved it! I’ll admit it, I tuned in for Sigourney. I can always count on her. The rest of the cast is great too. Real good writing, Love the look and feel of it all. I like that it’s a "limited series" too. I can concentrate on enjoying the show and not worry about whether it’s going to canceled.

I only got one response to my post.  I’ve got to say this is the best show I’ve seen in a long time.  I noticed they are re-running the opener frequently so it’s still time to catch it.  I HIGHLY recommend it.

and thought it was pretty good, and has a fantastic cast.  Since it’s a limited series, I guess, like every new show, it will depend on ratings.  But, I have to wonder …. smart of them to debut it in an election year or not?  I’m not quite sure.  People still have, and will continue to have strong opinions (on both sides of the aisle) relating to scandalous government and the lives of its officials.  I liked it, though!
