I think it’s going to be a fun season! The bar was pretty high before the show even aired! I was surprised how fast those two hours went! I’m not a Kelly Monaco fan at all, but she really came to compete. Emmet seems so relaxed. Loved Shawn Johnson too. Gilles Marini picked up right where he left off. The only ones I think who were a bit below the others is Drew Lachey and Bristol Palin and Pam Anderson, who may be the first to go unless the males voting keep her on so they can watch her a bit longer. Not sure about the new voting with the halves included, but I guess they had to do something because the competition is so close. It’s also interesting to watch those stars who have a different partner this time around. I don’t know how others feel, but Drew’s pro partner, Anna, needs an attitude adjustment…JMHO. I’ve felt that way about her since she first came on the show. She made herself look ridiculous when Brooke was interviewing them after their performance with all those gyrations for viewers to vote. Oh well, I guess it’s just part of the show. But, I’m looking forward to the whole season!
September 25, 2012 at 4:48 pm #35612MKParticipantI saw maybe half of the dances. The judges are giving some low scores, probably so there will be somewhere to go with them. Some of those dances would have been 9’s in any other season. I don’t think past winners should be on this show but it was great seeing everybody again (except Kelly Monaco). It should be people who came in 2nd,, 3rd, 4th. It was hard to watch some dances with the music that didn’t fit but this will never change. I loved Sabrina Bryan and Shawn Johnson. They have great personalities and great dancers.
Was it me or did they have more commercial breaks than ever? It seemed that after they gave a score to a previous couple, then showed the next dance, they went straight to a long commercial break. It’s annoying. I can watch this show in under one hour by just fast forwarding commercials.
September 25, 2012 at 10:39 pm #35621PattiParticipantwas Kirstie Alley, when she planted that whopping wet kiss on the show’s host, Tom B. That just looked so completely trashy to me. Just inappropriate, IMHO! Pamela Anderson, another year of slinky sexism? Looks like it to me. She got the lowest of all the scores, so I hope she’s first to go tonight. My poor Maks, getting stuck with her again. Even though I’m not a fan of Bristol Palin’s, I agree that she was most improved. Last year she was like a mannequin.
September 25, 2012 at 11:02 pm #35622daysfanParticipantI agree that Kirstie Alley was quite inappropriate with that ridiculous kiss last night. The one thing though, that I thought should happen with the all-star season, is that everyone should have had a new partner. I don’t like that they’ve paired some couples back together; it feels like they will have an advantage because they have already worked together and are comfortable with each other. I would have liked to see everyone starting fresh. And I agree about Pam Anderson and Bristol Palin–I don’t care which one goes first but the other one should follow next week. After that, I’m not sure who should go. I really do like most all of them!
September 25, 2012 at 11:33 pm #35623luckeyParticipantbefore they got their scores…very annoying!
September 25, 2012 at 11:34 pm #35624luckeyParticipantshe was yelling, "That was for your Emmy!" So, I guess that was her way of congratulating him on his Emmy win on Sunday night. She could have done what most of the others did and just say it and give him a hug. Of course, she has to be big and bold.
September 26, 2012 at 1:14 pm #35629luckeyParticipantwith sending Pam home. I’m wondering why the show’s producers asked her to compete again. The only other competitor who I thought looked weak was Bristol…maybe just rusty…we’ll see how she looks next week. I also don’t think that Drew was in the bottom of the votes. It almost seemed like it was a scare tactic toward the rest of the dancers to have a former winner in the bottom two. To me, he looked really afraid that he was going home. Again, Anna looks like an immature child with all of her antics in front of the camera. I find it hard to believe that she’s married to Jonathon Roberts (former DWTS pro) because he seems so calm, cool and collected and she’s not…of course, opposites do attract!
September 26, 2012 at 3:14 pm #35632MKParticipantI saw the first half of the show with all that filler and then I just went to bed without even recording it. I had a feeling it would be either Bristol or Pam going home so no big surprise there. I’m glad I missed the Justin Beiber performance. I read that during the entire performance, his hand was permanently attached to his crotch. Anybody see that?
September 26, 2012 at 3:47 pm #35634PattiParticipantseems he’s trying to be another Michael Jackson with the crotch grabbing. Not attractive to me at all.
September 26, 2012 at 3:54 pm #35635PattiParticipanther comments about Bristol Palin probably getting votes from the entire tea party were totally uncalled for and I’m sure ticked off a whole lot of republicans who probably watched the show. The woman is a hot MESS. I’m betting now she doesn’t even show up when they bring all of the stars and their partners to perform at the finale. She started with a judgmental grudge, and it would not surprise me if she just didn’t show when they all reunite at the end. JMO.
September 26, 2012 at 4:42 pm #35637MKParticipantI agree Patti. She is a hot mess. I liked her much better than I thought I would the first time she was on the show. She was more personable. But this time I felt there was something off (well, she’s always been off but more so), as if she didn’t want to be there. I forgot all about the Bristol comment she made. At one point Monday, she was sitting next to Bristol and didn’t seem to want to be bothered with her. I thought I was reading too much into it but something about her body language made me think that; and then after that comment, I figured I was right. I don’t think she was happy being there at all so why do the show. I guess even her big boobs couldn’t keep her in past one week.
September 26, 2012 at 11:46 pm #35642SWParticipantI saw it as a very unfair advantage to some. Also, is it my imagination or does Maks always seemed to be given stars that are real "challenges"? I’d also like it if the producers excluded the pros who have already "won" either more than once or even once. Let the others have a chance!
September 27, 2012 at 1:48 pm #35653luckeyParticipanton the morning after, but this is the first time I can remember that the star was not present. Tristan did the interview by himself….Pam was nowhere in sight.
September 27, 2012 at 1:54 pm #35656PattiParticipantLOL!
