That he’s not the dad. I mean of all people Sami should appreciate the importance of EJ not knowing. That everyone bows down to Nicole and is willing to have their own lives affected by her agenda is absurd.
So just how long will this couple stay reunited?October 9, 2012 at 4:57 am #35788justwonderingParticipantI think that Sami’s offer to "get close to EJ in order to help Nicole hid the baby" did not sit well with Rafe. He know that EJ has a way of getting under Sami’s skin and it is too dangerous for her to get close to EJ. Perhaps being burned by SAmi has made him cautious in letting her near EJ cause he is not sure she will resist EJ’s charms. Can’t really blame him given her track record!!
Secondly, he promised Nicole, so he feels obligated to keep the secret.

October 9, 2012 at 1:31 pm #35797PattiParticipantbecause of his "do as I say, not as I do" when judging Sami’s decisions. I’m all for Sami waking up, and more than one Salemite can slam her for those decisions. Lucas does it all the time. Sami needs to develop a "don’t pee on my leg and tell me it’s raining" defense. Rafe is supposed to be this good guy, white knight, definite Sir Galahad type, and here he is plotting and scheming to keep his sister out of jail (where she clearly should be), yet ready to throw himself on his sword before letting anything happen to his poor, misguided, little sis. His affair with Carrie, which would definitely have happened without a thought toward Austin OR Sami if Carrie had not been pregnant. Then, of course, there’s the whole ridiculous baby story line pretending to be Nicole’s baby daddy, all just shows me that Rafe is more grey than white, and now he shouldn’t trust Sami? But, of course, this is Sami ….. and she’s like a young version of Kate, so everything about her is disgusting to most posters anyway. She would have to decide, now, would she take it right to E.J. since it’s Nicole, her worst enemy, or would she be too concerned about what E.J. or the DiMeras would do to Rafe? I think the writers are slowly changing Sami, and allowing her to make "big girl" decisions that may or may not prove she is growing up. She does seem to be a much better character for me today than in the past, and I would say, yes, she’s "growing up", and that’s largely in part due to Rafe.

It always means that something will come between them. I really don’t know of any couple who doesn’t have a secret or two that never sees the light of day. Hopefully, they are not real important ones, but they do exist.
I really think this secret thing is done too much. So what is next, oh yea—Will and Gabi’s one night stand, Nicole’s baby secret, and on and on.
