is going very well, IMO …. at least it is with me, since I’ve been convinced for quite a while now that Nicole is her own worst enemy.  I’m still not all the way there yet that she deserves to be forgiven too quickly, but I would like to see the writers turn her around, at least partway, to where she begins to heal herself, and I’m quite sure after yesterday that she will have Father Eric’s complete attention and cooperation.  I do like Ari and Greg together, dare I say, as much as Ari and Jensen Ackles.  Greg Vaughan was perfect for this role.  I love his chemistry with everyone so far.  As for Nikki, it’s definitely starting to look like she wants to be a better person; as evidenced by her sincere apology to Jennifer; but, baby steps, writers.  Don’t turn her into Mother Teresa quite just yet, please.  I need a little snarky Nicole left in that tank, thank you.  However, I will say, I think that the good Father Eric will fall off his pedestal before Nicole does.  His attraction to her is sooooo obvious, and everyone seems to be picking up on it EXCEPT Nicole.  I do like them together a lot, though.  Such a nice change for her from the likes of E.J. Dimera, who, I’m sorry, but NEVER loved her, or even Daniel, who was standing by his promise but never stopped loving Jennifer.  Yes, I believe Father Eric is going to do battle with himself when it comes to his own temptations.  Oh, well, with so many busybodies in Salem now, I’m sure someone will put a stop to that quicker than either Eric or Nicole can say:  "Bless me Father, for I have sinned."

apologized to Jen yesterday that she’d walk out the door and get a big smirk on her face like she was plotting something.  I’m happy to see she really was sincere.  I’d love to see Nicole do a turn-around but they’d be losing one of their most valuable characters if they did that.  It’s kind of like not allowing a couple to be happy…they can’t allow Nicole to be good.

Yes, Patti, I’m loving Eric’s character.  (I usually use the characters’ names because I know a lot of people don’t know the actors’ real names.)  He is playing the part perfectly.  He is very believable as a priest.  Of course it doesn’t hurt that he’s so gorgeous.  Heck, even Ciara noticed it.
