But Jennifer is SO insecure that based on what Maggie says… not even what Daniel says… she decides to cancel the date that she was so looking forward to. When she texted Daniel I said out loud to the TV "oh, come on"! Just so stupid. Maggie – Daniel has only been your son for a few months. And he’s in his 40s for crying out loud. Leave him alone!!!
Not really out of character. Maggie always felt she had to "save" everyone. For a long time, her job was knowing about everyone’s troubles and trying to fix them. From Melanie to Chloe and don’t forget Brady and Lucas, she always gives advice and comfort.
I agree she has always been a problem solver but her advice was far less contrived and self serving in the past. This overbearing momma stuff is ridiculous. She has two adopted daughters so she of all people should respect Daniel’s space and the parents that raised him. Her lack of boundaries with him are out of character.
oh, well, that’s just Maggie; but it’s not …. it’s EVERYONE in Salem now. Everybody has to stick their unwanted two cents into everyone else’s business. It’s so degrading to the show. Stop this, writers. You’re the laughing stock of the boards the way you are portraying these characters. Just take a good look at every single character on this show and tell me who DOESN’T but into everyone else’s business. Now they’ve even got Hope doing it. STOP IT — the writers are killing this show.
When Maggie broke the fourth wall and addressed the audience at the end of the Christmas episode, it reminded me of Alice. Maggie has become the defacto Alice and a touch of Julie from the stand point of her use on the show.
She never had a son really so she is being over protective of Daniel, unfortunantly he is a grown man and has enough on his plate without having to deal with a doting mother he barely knows.
