I was gone over the holidays so had five episodes to catch up on, consequently, lots of comments stored up…
Like, Patti, I love Daniel. I think he’s very attractive and love his smile. How could someone not like him? I didn’t think his sweater looked bad. It’s one of those ramie fibers (which I don’t really like but don’t think they look bad) sweaters. They’re a bitch to care for.
Nicole is again doing a fantastic job. Her looking for a New Year’s "date" was so sad and her remembering the baby just broke my heart. I wonder if they are going to try out her and Rafe. Don’t know how I feel about that. But their scene was really cute.
I don’t think we’re going to see Eric "fall" for quite some time…if ever. He is way too devout. I just noticed how much shorter he is than Nicole. Or she must have been wearing some awfully high heels.
What are they doing to our bad guys? EJ is someone different entirely. And Kate? OMG. Please don’t tell me they are going to reform her. I don’t think I could even watch that. I can’t make up my mind where they’re going with Chad. Good? Bad? Good? Bad? Victor has practically turned snow-white. Victor as Santa Claus? I’m surprised one of the Christmas Ghosts didn’t swoop in and make him disappear.
Anybody notice Sonny combed his hair for Christmas Eve? I didn’t even know him at first. And I’m really tired of watching him and Will lip-locking. The gays I know don’t do that in public. A short smooch maybe but not what they did under the mistletoe.
Everytime we see Abe, there is Kayla. PLEASE don’t go there. I couldn’t stand that either.
Although the new Cameron is very cute, I think the other one was more unique and interesting. Apparently the writers think we need more diversity. Gay couple, black and white (Abe/Kayla, Cameron/Abby) and Cougar (Kristin/Brady) pairings.
I guess with the exception of Kate and Billie, everybody was at midnight mass so the entire town has now been converted to Catholicism. Maybe to save money by needing two different church sets. The Hortons all used to be Protestant and wasn’t Victor always Greek Orthodox? Oh, well.
Finally, Kristin has become a real inigma. I just can’t figure out what her true feelings toward Brady are. She certainly looks sincere with him but… What does everybody else think? I don’t think I’ve read any comments on this either way.
I see no evidence she’s sincerely into him. I’ve seen enough facial expressions and other gestures from her to indicate it’s just all part of the plan. At least so far.
Still devious and I think she thinks she can make John jealous. I wish they’d make her go away. Maybe a building could collapse and she could be trapped and die.
Kristen—I think that she is playing Brady to get revenge on John. She is still into him. First she tried to ruin his realtionship with Marlena. She tried to make marlena look foolish. When that didn’t work, she turned to Brady. She is all bad.
Cameron–don’t really know why they changed actors. Thought he did a good job. Remains to be seen if this one is good.
Rafe– I wouldn’t mind Rafe and Nicole getting to gether. This ping ponging by Sami with EJ and Rafe has truned me off. If Sami doesn’t know what EJ is than she deserves him, nor Rafe.
Will-I think that Will will change his mind about the baby. Don’t think I trust Nick, seems like he is a bigotted controlling person who is not good for Abby.
Daniel– Don’t really care one way or the other about him. I think he changes woman like others change clothes. Also cannot stand Maggie always butting in with advice–he is an adult after all.
Abe/ Kayla– don’t have a problem with spending time together.
she did all this planning and conning simply to get revenge on John and Marlena; mostly John by thinking she could get him back, but at the same time she thought she could make Marlena crazy enough to do some horrific things to make her look bad not only in John’s eyes, but everyone else’s. She failed miserably on both counts. Now, even though she is beginning to have some feelings for Brady, she’s still determined to succeed in getting her revenge, but now she gets to have Brady truly falling for her in the process, who has become such a pathetic character for me that I have lost all respect for him. All I know is I’m tired of it. Get this over with, and either return Kristen to the DiMera fold and put her in some corporate storyline going head to head with Kate or Sami or whoever, but end these ridiculous games with John and Marlena finally seeing what she’s doing and deciding that Brady just isn’t worth the effort to even interfere.
I’m just as thoroughly disgusted with this baby storyline. I was enjoying it for a while, but it has become so predictable that it’s gotten way out of hand. If Will is so damned conflicted, just tell the truth and let the chips fall where they may. If Sonny and Will are meant to be, they’ll work it out, but this baby will have Will’s DNA, not Nicks, so it would be very easy for him to own up to it and put the truth out there. Will is way too childish for this relationship, and to me he’s the one ruining it.
I’m disappointed in Nick; I thought he was going to get back into a good corporate storyline, not this childish obsession he’s mixed up with. I wanted to see some backstory of his time in jail that caused him to revert back to the way he is now, and also why he is so homophobic with his remarks to Will and Sonny. Did something happen to him when he was in jail. I will admit, however, I did love the way he went up against Kate when they met to discuss his contract to work at Titan. He’s good in that kind of role, and anybody who can put Kate in her place is just fine with me.
Finally, I need them to either replace Bo Brady or write him out in some way that he is, in fact, GONE. These invisible references are just not doing it for me. I realize they’re waiting to decide what to do with Hope, but either recast PR or kill Bo off. I’ve had it.
The stories are okay, but they need some spice and uplift IMHO.
