I have to say that I am really liking Sami lately with this Kristen/Brady/John/Marlena storyline. I love how she is getting in Kristen’s face about sleeping with Brady. For once I think her anger is channeled in the right direction and makes perfect sense. One thing though: I’m surprised Brady didn’t call Sami a hypocrite for also dating a DiMera and her whole past with EJ (unless he did yesterday but we had an interruption for a half hour so I missed a lot). And he would have a good point, especially where EJ kidnapped Rafe and replaced him with fauxRafe. And I still can’t understand why she would be considering EJ again but I’m getting off track here.
But it’s so good to see Sami on great terms with Marlena and especially John and it’s genuine. I think Marlena’s going to need Sami on her side after John’s behavior yesterday. He is treating Marlena worse than he treats Kristen just because Marlena didn’t tell him about the affair weeks ago. This doesn’t make any sense to me. John didn’t want to believe anything Marlena said anyway about Kristen. Kristen’s the bad guy here, not Marlena. And now John will be staying at a hotel. Gee, I wonder if he will move into the one Kristen’s staying at.
Depending on how long John stays mad at Marlena, I think Sami will be the one that will mend things between them (imagine that!). At the end of the show yesterday, she had said something about a united front. I am really liking her, for now at least, and that’s good enough for me.
January 8, 2013 at 2:34 pm #37110BonbonParticipantis ludicrous. Who makes such a big to-do about their son/step-son/brother sleeping with someone they don’t like? Yes, you confront the person with your feelings about it but then, that should be it. As Kristin said, "Brady is a grown-ass man." He knows what he’s doing, he knows who Kristin is and what she’s done. From there on, it’s his decision, not theirs.
January 8, 2013 at 2:36 pm #37112dvalParticipantbut that wouldn’t make for good soap opera now would it?
January 8, 2013 at 2:38 pm #37114BonbonParticipantand you can say the same thing about almost all the other crap they throw out there. I saw something the other day that made me think of Days and I’ll have to paraphrase it. The Hollywood bunch never let reality get in their way. How true, how true.
January 8, 2013 at 3:13 pm #37118justwonderingParticipantI can understand Marlena hating Kristen, after all she tried to kill her. This time around Kristen tried to make her seem paranoid, and John bought into it hook, line, and sinker. Brady also bought into her performance.
The frustrating think for Marlena is that Kristen flaunts it in her face that her motives are not genuine. No matter what, Marlena cannot win in this situation cause John wouldn’t believe her.
Part of it is John cannot accept the fact that Kristen is with Brady, and that she fooled the almighty John who is never wrong. John is hurt that she played him, that he believed her, that Marlena was right and he couldn’t accept it and that she would get Brady under her spell. Sooo– he blames Marlena for his stupidity.

January 9, 2013 at 3:26 am #37129luckeyParticipanton her relationship with EJ too. He had every right to do that considering all the horrible things EJ did to Sami over the years. It was a perfect opportunity for the writers to put some dialogue in relating to that, but they let it slide by without it.
January 9, 2013 at 1:20 pm #37130PattiParticipantabout Sami’s actions, and also about Brady’s not reminding her of her own hypocrisy; however, Sami never sees her own faults, only those of others. I think she is perfectly justified to go after Kristen because of what she is trying to do to John and Marlena, and using Brady to do it. Other than that, she has no right to even attempt to make Brady the bad guy here. I love that she is aggressively taking a stand with Kristen and letting her know that everyone but Brady is on to her, and that she is NOT going to stand by and and watch her try to get some sort of sick satisfaction of getting her revenge on John and Marlena through Brady; but, at the same time, she’s showing that she still has some sort of sick feelings for E.J., a man who has done so much to hurt her and her family so many times. She actually looks at and, what’s worse, believes that E.J. is a "changed" man who will always be "the father of two of her children," and for that reason she can’t make a true comparison in reality. However this turns out, though, I totally agree that Sami in her family protection mode is fun to watch, and now that she is acting more like the real Sami Brady, I have to admit that I enjoy her that much more than her in business mogul mode. This is her family, and she’ll get in anyone’s face when it comes to shielding them from harm, …. even their own. I really do have a bad feeling about John, though, and hope he soon comes around to admitting to Marlena that she’s right and he’s wrong, but I have a bad feeling it’s not going to happen that way, and this storyline is dead in the water without John AND Marlena in it….together!
